The install .ISO file on the AllstarLink website is too big for a CD, so I created a bootable thumbdrive and forced my PC to boot from that. After the install completes and shuts down, I remove the thumbdrive and restart the PC. It comes up with the repeater prompt, but does not continue the installation of Asterisk. There exists no "asterisk.sh". I would appreciate guidance on how to proceed. BTW, the user "repeater" has no privileges and unknown password ("allstarlink" does not work). Thanks Gary W5BI

The default username is: repeater the password is: allstarlink at the prompt type. sudo asl-menu This will load the menu which will guide you through the setup process of your node. Sent from my iPhone

What are you using to image your usb drive ?

You seem to have only the OS installed.

When it did not fully install, i doubt you will have the user name pass expected since that is most likely preformed in the asterisk install script?

Could be a boot/grub issue? Review/clean your bios settings.

I would try it all again and see if you get the same result as a minimum.

I have never installed from usb but a dvd. So just my thoughts.
