We are currently in need of beta testers (well maybe alpha testers at this point??) for the new version (in fact new technology entirely) of the Allstar Link website and associated facilities. If you cant help us test, at least check it out for a preview of whats to come. https://beta.allstarlink.org Please sign up for a username there. Also please sign up for the Web-bugs mailing list and read the testing guidelines. We appreciate your help in this matter. Thanks! JIM WB6NIL
It would appear that some of the verification emails for signups for the beta test system are not being received. If you didnt receive a verification email immediately after your signup, please let me know and Ill try to figure out why. For those participating in the testing, if you want to try to talk to us on line in real time, connect to either node 2008 or 27136. Thanks JIM WB6NIL
It has come to my attention that all of the email that gets sent from my beta test server gets put in people's (including mine) trash folder. Does anyone out there know any "magic" way that something can be done to avoid this?? Sorry, but the last time I really did anything significant with e-mail, most servers were still not using the MX DNS record yet. I hate to tell you when that was. Needless to say, back them spam was something that most people wouldnt want to eat. JIM WB6NIL
