Re: [App_rpt-users] cheap USB fobs
Hello Pete, Tried replying directly, but the email bounced... The DealExtreme item was SKU# 21812 https://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.21812 I received 3 "blobs" and one CM119 that seems to be defective. FWIW, it seems like they might be willing to refund my purchase price if I return the items. I'll believe it when my Paypal account grows by $28. hi hi 73. Please see my previous posting regards Dealextreme - I recommend you do not buy from them for asterisk applications Ones that *do* work can be had from NewEgg 29-128-002 and 29-128-004 Ken

<-- I will second that... the DealExtreme fobs were announced on my FREE STAR* page (http://www.va3uv.com/freestar.htm) for use with a pc (sound card) based GMSK encoding / decoding software application for D-STAR. They work well for this application. As several folks have commented, they are not suitable for app_rpt as they do not contain the CM108, 109 or 119 chips.
Ones that *do* work can be had from NewEgg 29-128-002 and 29-128-004
