Last night I was connected to two nodes in monitor, the win system and the wan system because I wanted to listen only to the traffic. Will the two networks hear each other because the wan system disconnected me.
Suspect so. You were acting like a Hub. A connection is a connection. I've not tried it, but it seems "duplex=" in rpt.conf should have been in mode 1 or 3 to not repeat audio. Thanks, Bob kk6ecm Sent from iPad

I just used *2 I also tested it this morning, connecting to two neighboring nodes in monitor. They did not hear each other when I keyed up on their repeaters. If anybody is a part of the WAN system, tell me if there was a situation last night probably around 12pm east coast time, (10pm mountain here) where the WIN system audio went through. While what you did is feasible (before you got disconnected), I would suggest that anyone monitoring on the WAN or WIN systems would see their bubble maps grow in size significantly. This ad-hoc growth in size, which was probably not brokered with managers on either or both sides, saw a reaction from one or both to disconnect which is not unexpected. Both systems are looking to run tight ships with best enforcement of audio / connection standards. This would be my take of the situation. Personally if I looked at the bubble map and saw two big bubbles with you in the middle I would have disconnected you as well to just play it safe. I don't know what it would look like in allmon though. Corey
