Kevin, I have a TM-D700 functioning as a remote base with a URI and a Pi 3. There are presently a couple of issues: 1. I had to set carrierfrom=no in simpleusb.conf in order to hear anything on repeaters after I unkey. Using usb didn't detect the presence of a carrier and pass audio until a new signal was detected. 2. When accessing the node with iaxrpt, I have to restart asterisk each time I disconnect. David, thank you. Implementation of a TM-271 with a USB programming cable is the real essence of your swanky implementation.. Please share this, should you have it available. I might be inclined to use a dual band TM-V71A, as I have a new one sitting unused. I suspect they will interface similarly, save for some of the dual band features. The usb has easy. In the rpt.conf file under the node statement. You'll see ioport=. To fine the ioport plugin the USB programming cable and run dmesg. Implementation of a TM-271 with a USB programming cable is the real essence of your swanky implementation.. Please share this, should you have it available. I might be inclined to use a dual band TM-V71A, as I have a new one sitting unused. I suspect they will interface similarly, save for some of the dual band features.
