Best thing is to try it :-) As I understand it, ACPI looks after power management. You may be able to run without it. I'm glad it had an effect as it helps to localise the problem. Does your LAN adapter come up? If so you could be well on the way. Anyway, I got this error message, along with the log messages about a problem with the Zaptel Configuration, and I found a reference to this issue here: http://www.easyasterisk.org/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=1 Booting the thin client with ACPI disabled cured the problem with Zaptel, but then the LAN port wouldn’t come up L so I was still stymied! Anyway I don’t know if this will help, but it might be worth a go.
