I am the trustee of three club repeaters in Okeechobee and trying to find out if we're current or not. I understand there are issues with the web site, but I would like to know a status update and don't who from or how to get information. Any help will be appreciated, or can I be added to the mail list with updated information. Thank you, Mark Brandel KF4EA Mark@MarkBrandel.com
Mark, If you know your FRC district Director email them. The FRC wants updates every 2 years and if your repeater freq ends in even number the update is to be submitted in odd year and if odd number update in even year. Normally one can update on the web site, special form for this, but since the site is down cannot do much there as you know. Here are some contacts for FRC: Dana, K4LK, Coordinator & Database Manager k4lk@tampabay.rr.com District 4 director, Mike Fletcher, NI4M dir4@florida-repeaters.org If you know your district I am sure you can use dir(X)@florida-repeaters.org, but contacting the others should get you to where you need to be. 73, ron, n9ee/r a know code Extra Ron Wright, N9EE/R BSEE Micro Computer Concepts 352-683-4476 mccrpt@tampabay.rr.com ________________________________ From: FRC-Info <frc-info-bounces@lists.keekles.org> on behalf of Mark Brandel <markwbrandel@gmail.com> Sent: Thursday, November 10, 2016 1:59 AM To: FRC-Info@lists.keekles.org Subject: [FRC] Information I am the trustee of three club repeaters in Okeechobee and trying to find out if we're current or not. You can download the form from the FRC website and fill it out and send it in via snail mail. I did the two repeater pairs our club has that way recently. Don't expect to hear back right away. Leon, The odd even renewal year has been the way FRC did in past. I've been doing for over 20 years. It was confusing. The FRC would list exp date, MM/DD/YYYY on the repeater listing. Good if they have changed, but now they will get lots of renewals all at once and this usually means they will not act on it for months, but then again maybe it will be automatically done for their site. I've been working with repeaters and FRC for over 20 years, since early 90s. They are very good coordinating group, one just needs to know how to deal with them, hi. 73, ron, n9ee/r a know code Extra Ron Wright, N9EE/R BSEE Micro Computer Concepts 352-683-4476 mccrpt@tampabay.rr.com ________________________________ From: FRC-Info <frc-info-bounces@lists.keekles.org> on behalf of Leon Jurczyszyn <ljurc@yahoo.com> Sent: Thursday, November 10, 2016 6:21 AM To: Florida Repeater Council Discussion Subject: Re: [FRC] Information Ron, N9EE, Read the home page of the FRC. I want to clarify something. When I said the next renewal will be 09/30/2018, I meant that date will be your new renewal after you renew now. If you already did your renewal online before the renewal site want down you won’t have to do anything else. If you haven’t renewed yet you will have to go to the FRC website and download a copy of the renewal application, fill it out and mail it in. BTW, the renewal application is only like 4 or 5 lines (real simple) Once the servers are back on line, I’ll post it here. Marshall left the FRC and moved out of state. Districts 1 and 2 are now combined. Your directors are Mark Fila N4DES and Joaquin Pidal KZ4TI Mike Gonzalez N2FSU District 6 Director Florida Repeater Council dir6@florida-repeaters.org From: FRC-Info [mailto:frc-info-bounces@lists.keekles.org] On Behalf Of Mario Ribas Sent: Thursday, November 10, 2016 20:04 To: Florida Repeater Council Discussion Subject: Re: [FRC] Information plea thanks 73se who is in district 1 did they change marshall On Thursday, November 10, 2016 5:31 PM, Mike Gonzalez N2FSU <n2fsu110@gmail.com> wrote: Ron, ALL repeaters in the state will renew at the same time.
