    Have you looked through
/var/log/messages to see if there is anything causing asterisk to
      crash at boot time?

I take it that asterisk starts for you when you issue:

      service asterisk start

      Let us know..

From several on and off list suggestions, I tried
      this:

[root at PC3 ~]# chkconfig --list asterisk
        asterisk 0:off 1:off 2:on 3:on 4:on 5:on 6:off
[root at PC3 ~]# chkconfig asterisk on
[root at PC3 ~]# chkconfig --list asterisk
        asterisk 0:off 1:off 2:on 3:on 4:on 5:on 6:off
        [root at PC3 ~]#

So 0 and 1 are off. Is that the way it should be?

Still no asterisk start from reboot.
