I'm getting ready for a MMDVM build. I'm pretty sure that the MMDVM and switch back and forth from DMR and C4FM for example. Can it do analog as well? I guessing the issue will be if it can do analog getting the audio to Allstar would be the issue. No, it can not do analog. You can control it though. I have not done it. I think the COS line to the modem if asserted will pause the modem so the repeater can process analog. On 6/9/2016 10:35 AM, Robert Newberry wrote:

They removed the original function of the COR line (it was not be used in the build) and re-assigned it or they are PLANNING on doing it. Loos like pins 7, 8, 9 are output pins to define the mode. I think the C4FM pin is used to change channels on radio to wider mode. COS is still defined. OK I was reading this guys webpage about a setting called muti-mode that MMDVM will switch automatically to the mode it receives. http://ve1cra.net/main/dmr.html So that's why I ask the question. I don't know much about the MMDVM and how it would work with ASL.. Thanks, David On Thu, Jun 9, 2016 at 9:00 AM, Steve Zingman <szingman@msgstor.com> wrote:

It will do it NOW. Understand what MMDVM stands for. I'm not even sure there is value in a single repeater that does D-Star, DMR and Fusion. The contention for air time will be a issue. Look at what happens on DMR now if too many Talk Groups are supported. BONK!, BONK!, BONK! On 6/9/2016 1:01 PM, Robert Newberry wrote:

I'm getting ready for a MMDVM build. I'm pretty sure that the MMDVM and switch back and forth from DMR and C4FM for example. Can it do analog as well? I guessing the issue will be if it can do analog getting the audio to Allstar would be the issue.

Robert, Not as yet, though I believe it may be possible to have it work in parallel with a sound card device. Matthew Pitts N8OHU On June 9, 2016 10:35:09 AM EDT, Robert Newberry <N1XBM@amsat.org> wrote:

No, it does not do analog. What they did was allow you to have an analog repeater controller separate and a detect pin on the duo that will not allow the zum to work until the detect is gone. Sent from my iPhone

Steve, I understand your feelings on it. I'm just asking so I can know what it can and can not do. I'm really interested in C4FM and DMR. Analog would be a bonus not a requirement.
