I am fairly sure your kernel is past where asl will support sound as per our current standard. enhanced things | AllStar, Alsa & Pulseaudio without OSS <http://enhanced.github.io/2018/08/ASL_With_ALSA> You may need to re-compile the dahdi module ?? Never done it so can't say more but it's a lead to work from. ...mike/kb8jnm On 12/31/2018 2:52 PM, Marco Brunozzi wrote:
Hi, I tried...
Hi, I'm trying to install asl from sources on my bananapi: Linux bananapim2plus 4.14.84-sunxi #3 SMP Sat Dec 1 07:18:41 CET 2018 armv7l GNU/Linux
As explained here: https://wiki.allstarlink.org/wiki/ASL_FAQ
During the installation appear some errors here: /var/lib/dkms/asl-dahdi-linux/2.11.1/build/make.log
Especially this: make -C linux all make[1]: Entering directory '/var/lib/dkms/asl-dahdi-linux/2.11.1/build/linux' make -C drivers/dahdi/firmware firmware-loaders make[2]: Entering directory '/var/lib/dkms/asl-dahdi-linux/2.11.1/build/linux/drivers/dahdi/firmware' make[2]: Leaving directory '/var/lib/dkms/asl-dahdi-linux/2.11.1/build/linux/drivers/dahdi/firmware' make -C /lib/modules/4.14.84-sunxi/build SUBDIRS=/var/lib/dkms/asl-dahdi-linux/2.11.1/build/linux/drivers/dahdi DAHDI_INCLUDE=/var/lib/dkms/asl-dahdi-linux/2.11.1/build/linux/include DAHDI_MODULES_EXTRA=" " HOTPLUG_FIRMWARE=yes modules DAHDI_BUILD_ALL=m make[2]: Entering directory '/usr/src/linux-headers-4.14.84-sunxi' Makefile:644: arch/-a: No such file or directory Makefile:644: armhf/Makefile: No such file or directory make[2]: *** No rule to make target 'armhf/Makefile'. What can I do?
Thanks, Marco IW0RED ------- But no one answered. :-)

Note, this needs to be Debian 9. While it's certainly possible it will work on other debian based distros, all bets are off. If you want to run it on something else, grab the src from github and make install.
It's kinda the view development took was, it should run anywhere, so why bother making a custom software distro. We compile it and officially support debian, but let debian handle the distro work, they are much better at it than we can be. AllStar is now no different than mariadb/etc, we just have software that runs on top of a distro.
