It takes a while (10 min/20 min?) for your node to reregister with the upstream server. You shouldn't have to reboot; unless your ISP is (probably) assigning you a random IP address out of the DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol)
Nope. I have a static IP from the ISP. pool they have, in which case, if your
address changes at your end, then it has to re-propagate, again, upstream.
It's not a bug, it's a feature, they say. If your internet connection is interrupted...just wait a few minutes. Your node will reregister with Jim's servers when it reconnects.
How do I find out if it's re-registered? Unless you have other issues in
your network equipment that really aren't the fault of asterisk to resolve.
Hard to tell. The ISP pipe is at the repeater site. Repeater site is 2 hour drive one way.

Jim, No there is no timer. But if one of the nodes loses the Internet then it will drop out with the uses of *3node. The only timer is one the remote base nodes.
So use the following:
950=ilink,7 ; Node which last transmitted to us 951=ilink,11 ; Specific Link permanent connect - Disconnect 952=ilink,12 ; Specific Link permanent connect - monitor only 953=ilink,13 ; Specific Link permanent connect - transceive 954=ilink,6 ; Disconnect all links including permalinks
The above linking will connect reconnect if there is a drop in the network. It will reconnect quietly.
