Yup - these Atom processors will just shut down if they get too hot. I found that out once by accident. I suspect that the no-fans-needed concept refers to use in a climate controlled environment. Ken

Randy, The MOBO specs state environmental temp max is 104ยบ. I know our Mtn site exceeds that temp during summer temps and premature failure may be an issue. Make sure you check your environmental specs before deploying to a remote site.
