Thanks Doug. I will leave them set to defaults then. On Sun Jan 18 2015 at 6:13:08 PM Doug Crompton <doug@crompton.com> wrote:
Sometimes playing around can get you in trouble. I would not advise doing that, especially A-D as those characters are not on all devices including iaxrpt. The *3, *1 and a couple of others are considered mandatory functions. That is they are suppose to stay that way for all users. There is no law about that but it is highly recommended.

I thought I would change the command prefix of my private simplex node to be D rather than *. Using the funcchar parm in rpt.conf seemed to work in general. But for some reason echolink would no longer complete outbound connections. I'm betting that there is a separate parameter for the echolink funcchar value. However I wasn't able to find it documented. Any ideas? _______________________________________________ App_rpt-users mailing list App_rpt-users@ohnosec.org http://ohnosec.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/app_rpt-users To unsubscribe from this list please visit http://ohnosec.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/app_rpt-users and scroll down to the bottom of the page.
