Wow.. your solution is so incredible that I'm amazed... I'd like to hear from you what the possibilities are. Maybe there is a better way to make my network.... I'm my scenario the guy with the portable radio press the PTT and this info gets to a management console so that the operator knows that ID 1234 in node 1999 has just pushed the PTT. Something like this... RANDOM GUY -> RADIO->QUADPCI ---------------------- REMOTE ASTERISK -> management console Any way, if i can get this ID associated with the respective channel in the quadradio, I can relay it to the console... The console does not exist yet. Other thing I could you is ID spoof, so the quadradio passes the ID it receives via IAX or SIP. Thanks again. Renato 2007/7/25, Jim Duuuude <telesistant@hotmail.com>:
MDC-1200.. that we can decode easily.. but in what manner do you want it passed to another repeater. and what to do with it there??

Stephen,
The PTT-ID info gets encoded by the radio using MDC-1200 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MDC-1200). Does app_rpt have something like this so you can point me the direction to start making the modifications to suit my applications?
Sorry to bother you (again), but this is a very huge project and the time is very short. I need this ID stuff to deliver the first prototype the field
Thanks in Advance, Renato

Renato,
app_rpt.c would have to be modified to accept the DTMF sequences. There is no support in app_rpt.c to do this.
Steve.

Actually what I need is:
The remote radio send its ID when I press the PTT... I want to
receive
this
ID and pass it to another repeater. I believe the ID comes as a DTMF. Can the quadradio receive (and decode this remote radio ID)?
Thanks again..
