It would be hard to know what type of remote base you are setting up to help because you did not state it. Basically, it is just another node.Set-up everything a node needs. If it is a freq agile remote base you need: To tell app_rpt what it is and the method of communications (com/usb ports) to it (except rbi-1 is parport only) Such as but not limited to depending on remote type- ioport=/dev/ttyUSB0 ; Serial port for control (usb serial 1) iospeed=19200 ; io speed for port iobase = 0x378 ; Specify IO port for parallel port remote=ic706 ; Remote Radio Type civaddr=72 ; ic706 dev address Command structure for control included in that nodes set-up. (you may not need all of these depending on what you are using) 0=remote,1 ; Retrieve Memory 1=remote,2 ; Set freq. VFO MMMMM*KKK*O (Mhz digits, Khz digits, Offset) 2=remote,3 ; Set tx PL tone PL Tone HHH*D* 3=remote,4 ; Set rx PL tone HHH*D* 6=remote,6 ; Set mode 1=FM 2=USB 3=LSB 4=AM 40=remote,100 ; Rx PL off 41=remote,101 ; Rx PL on 42=remote,102 ; Tx PL off 43=remote,103 ; Tx PL on 44=remote,104 ; Low Power 45=remote,105 ; Medium Power 46=remote,106 ; High Power 51=remote,5 ; Long status query 52=remote,140 ; Short status query 67=remote,210 ; Send a * 69=remote,211 ; Send a # 79=remote,119 ; Tune (brief AM transmission for automatic antenna tuner) 711=remote,107 ; Bump -20 714=remote,108 ; Bump -100 717=remote,109 ; Bump -500 713=remote,110 ; Bump +20 716=remote,111 ; Bump +100 719=remote,112 ; Bump +500 721=remote,113 ; Scan - slow 724=remote,114 ; Scan - quick 727=remote,115 ; Scan - fast 723=remote,116 ; Scan + slow 726=remote,117 ; Scan + quick 729=remote,118 ; Scan + fast If it is a stand alone RB or a party-line type of node... If one connection at a time, use ",y" at the definition line: 29261 = radio@127.0.0.1/29261,NONE,y ;y=remote base If connecting to it from other node, you will want to use *5(node#) for control of it from the other node. There are some other ways of doing that depending on your set-up. Can't write the book here so I hope that helps some. ...mike/kb8jnm
Better yet, does anyone have any examples they could share? Looking to have a regular node and remote base on the same server. I think I have most of it right, just want to make sure.

I am getting ready to set up a remote base. I have been reading through the docs on the site and I have most of it but just wanted to verify that remote base node stanza info goes into the rpt.conf config file.
Thanks
