Tim, Look at the other comments here in this thread as well. There are reasons many of us stayed here and did not make the transition. That seems not to have been considered. Are we less valued? I’m all for keeping everyone together but the solution deployed needs to work for the userbase. Mailing list was working fine then it was uprooted by decree not by concensus. We didn't want to splinter out users. That's why everyone at Allstar agreed to shut this list down.

When the list moved to a web forum the community was never asked about this nor was it shown that one could continue to subscribe as a mailing list. Web forums do not serve a community well where one has to go to the forum regularly to participate. An email list comes to you. Much easier for the list subscribers to participate and communicate. I don’t like to see the community broken apart and splintered as it is but better communication between the board, the tech committee, and the users would go a long way toward working out many of the issues that have come up and caused this divide. Until the board gets its act together and starts running this in the interest of the userbase doing what is needed on the business side to remain functional as required by law this division is likely to remain.

This list moved to https://community.allstarlink.org which is both a web forum and a list server. All of the mailman list archives as of that time are searchable within the forum site itself. Also you can sign into the forum with the email address you used here and all of you old posts back to the beginning of the mailman list will show up under you account.
The mailman list was closed without mentioning it had been updated to community. Now that it's temporarily back the opportunity to correct that presents its self. Activity on the community site has been good and all are welcome to join us there.
73 and Merry Christmas to all.
