There are two node list commands: ilink 5 is list of directly connected nodes only. ilink 15 is full list of all connected nodes no mater how many hops away (AKA Long Range Sensors) I recommend using ilink 5 in your functions and the AllStar web site for the bigger picture. Neither command will cause remotes nodes to dump telemetry unless they have telemdefault=1 or you’re unlucky enough to hit their telemdefault=2 timeout window. -- Tim :wq

Sort of; I'm referring to the malfunction of the online/visual alternative to querying which nodes one is connected to because the Alison verbal readout pisses a lot of people off if you're connected to more than a couple.
Oh and btw the account was originally setup with the tongue-in-cheek name Jah Rastafari to order reggae records. I often forget it's even there.

But at any rate, I recently setup my first simplex allstar node and managed to hit the wrong command sequence and triggered a long train of announcements listing all the connected nodes. You mean to say that I'm not the only one who heard that? Most embarrassing. It eventually stopped abruptly and I did find myself disconnected. Hmm...

You could be having some problems with internet host (especially if it is comcast). Probably temporary, don't go changing your settings over it just yet. Give it a few days and reboots (computer and router) to see how it pans out.

I went back right after reading your reply (several hours after my original post) and it in fact came up the way it should. But then 5 minutes later it went back to saying I wasn't connected. I'm not sure what it means but I can say I've never seen it behave like this before.

Not sure but....
I think you are only suffering from a delay of the update to the list.
Try waiting for a short while (up to 30min) and look again. Others have said it takes that long sometimes but I have only witnessed about 5-6min.
Guess it depends on how busy the server is.

Forgive me if this has already been discussed and I missed it, but I just noticed recently that although I was connected to a number of other nodes/repeaters, the 'Node Status' selection on the Allstar site says I'm not connected to anything. My node(s) show up properly in the available node list and everything else is as it should be. The Web Transceiver works properly also and I haven't changed anything recently. Am I missing something?
