It is legal as the communication you make with it. I had it set-up years ago but don't really have a lot of use for it. As I said, it is limited to dialing a mailbox as a phone patch and using a hang-up code when done.(leaving a message) But to listen to messages on a mailbox, you are out of luck on the radio side. You need to use a phone. I suppose you could make-shift a way around it but is that really worth it ? ...mike/kb8jnm

The reason I asked is because I am writing a script for voicemail, and I wanted to make sure nobody has done it already.

As I 'remember' it(?), The problem you have is having access to * and # while in the radio channel (default).
You can wiggle around the problem with some thought. It can be used with phones connected to the server.
