Dual processors aren't going to help much unless the thread model is native (NTPL). Each channel uses a thread, and if the threads are not managed at the linux kernel level, two processors would be a waste. Eric Fort wrote:

There's not enough information in your list to know for sure. It would depend on codecs used, processor cache, RAM, and processor type. I'd just try a machine and if it runs out of gas, upgrade it. I would not waste my time with anything under 1Ghz.
