Hub with no hardware connected in ttransmit
Question all, What would cause a HUB setup with no USB radio hardware hooked up go into constant timeout and Transmit? I got the info off of status of allstar node 41269. It also will not allow connections to happen and i confirmed port forwarding. Ideas? Keri KB0YNA Mrs. Keri Varela
Just guessing here, I think you may need to set-up a simpleusb/radiousb port and define COS even though one will not be connected. Perhaps you have done that. But if the COS logic is inverted from truth, it will indeed tx & time-out. I don't know if there is some default logic for that but I have never set-up a hub without the ability to plug-in a usb fob and test it on the fly using parallel port definitions to keep the COS logic correct for the hub/port/node. Someone may have a better answer than mine. But the root seems to be COS signal. ...mike/kb8jnm

if it's just a hub, rxchannel at the top of the node stanza should be, instead of a usbxxxxx entry, either zap/pseudo or dahdi/pseudo, otherwise it will be looking for a high or low rxpression of the signal, and finding neither, will go into a hang state...if you use the pseudo channel, it won't look for the hardware interface and just push packets rather than try and decode signals. at least that's how I've set mine up. -- Bryan Sent from my iPhone 6S...No electrons were harmed in the sending of this message.
