Since now that HAMVOIP no longer supports the BeagleBone Black. Is there any other option to use my BBB or is it now a doorstop?
I've wondered much the same thing. I've got one sitting here collecting dust that I would like to get some use out of. On Sun, May 13, 2018, 11:29 Mark <n2nuo@brandmeisterusa.com> wrote:

Mark, When I built version 1.01, I made sure that we continued to support the BBxM. While I was building that version I also built a version for the BBB. The only issue is if you are going to use it with a USB radio interface you will need to power the BBB with the mini USB connector. Other thane that, it works fine. Hi Mark, I also run a couple BeagleBone Black nodes. You may have misunderstood the comment in that thread. I believe the message was intended to convey the fact that there will be no further development for the Beaglebone Black platform. That has been the case for some time. Yet help has always been available. Users wanting to add more bells and whistles the avenue to upgrade is to move to the RPi3. That applies to both Allstar Pi groups. My Beaglebone blacks are used mainly for links and require no new bells and whistles. They run flawlessly so I will run them until they die. No need to scrap them just because of that comment.
