EchoLink Server Stuck On
EchoLink on our repeater is confused, and we are trying to reset. The EchoLink module has been in a “noload” state for over two days now, and the EchoLink website still shows our node as being a valid login. I’ve sent a service request in to EchoLink without response. My question is this, do I need to do more than “noload” the EchoLink module so the EchoLink server won’t see us as a login? Thanks, Bob K6ECM Sent from iPad
From the asterisk CLI> show modules like echo or show modules like chan Verify chan_echolink is not loaded. Steve On 4/20/2018 10:09 AM, Bob Pyke wrote:

No EchoLink modules in the CL> list. The 4 “chan_” in the list are identified as “load” in modules.conf So, does this mean the repeater is not contacting the EchoLink server? Thanks, Bob K6ECM 73

Just received a message from EchoLink who said they are still receiving intermittent info from my node. Thanks, Bob K6ECM 73

Figured it out... slow kid here. I was working on a replacement RPi, and it was running from my location, sending updates to EchoLink. (Sigh!) Sorry for the confusion. Your CLI> instructions plus the EchoLink IP address info helped me converge on the problem... it was me all along.(grrr) Thanks, Bob K6ECM 73

Bob, we all do it, some even admit it. Logical troubleshooting is the key. Glad it's resolved. 73, Steve N4IRS On 4/20/2018 12:14 PM, Bob Pyke wrote:

Bob, Try using ssh into the repeater nano /etc/asterisk/modeules.conf Under the Channels section look for the line load => chan_echolink.so ; You can also do a search in nano by hitting ctrl w and typing chan_echolink.so After your sure that noload is in front of chan_echolink.so Example noload => chan_echolink.so ; Then either reboot asterisk via using astres.sh or astdn.sh to shutdown asterisk or astup.sh to start up asterisk.. I personally recommend a full reboot Also if your not using echolink any further I recommend that you go into UFW and delete the rules for the ports 4198/udp and 4199/udp also you will need to remove 5200/tcp from the rules.. Typically after I remove those rules I tend to put deny in those ports afterwards just as an extra measure to ensure it can’t communicate..
