Is there a way to allow tail messages to be heard by an echolink user? I was listening to a conversation between a repeater user and an echolink user. Our meeting announcement began to play, and the echolink user heard 20 seconds of silence and had no idea why.

Try adding echolinkdefault=3 to the rpt.conf node stanza, this will have echolink telemetry follow the node. https://wiki.allstarlink.org/wiki/Echolink_Channel_Driver#Node_Stanza_Keys 73's -- Bryan Fields 727-409-1194 - Voice http://bryanfields.net

The users on the repeater with the tail message can be taught to just start transmitting during the tail message. AllStar will mute the tail message audio and reschedule its playing.

I find this interesting . We also have a simalar Echolink problem on our repeater. Whenever the Amatuer Radio News is played on the repeater the Echolink users do not hear the news report Sent from my iPhone

Bryan, Do you know if with the current ASL build for 386 if one can totally disabled telemetry for EchoLink? My current ACId build has that ability but I was told that a lot of other newer builds do not work with being able to disable echolink telemetry. Can you or someone confirm please? That is the only reason why I haven’t updated the FLA hub yet. Thanks Lu Vencl, KA4EPS
