Running version 1.41 . Have 2 rtcms connected to mtr2000 , thunderbolt gps , pretty standard setup. My simulcast is working great, however I can't get ct decode to work properly. It's either in carrier mode or it doesn't work . Odd things happen when I put what I assume is the correct settings in the ct and for config on the rtcm. The rx light flashes and sometimes let's a signal thru , but my repeater sorta goes flaky like the rtcm is pulling the line down and flaking it out. The voltage pulsates on the CTCSS line and the repeater receiver light goes out when it is actually receiving a signal. Very odd . Is 1.41 the best version? Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?? I have a working RTCM on one of the machines I take care of. My setting are: S/W Version: 1.46 03/04/2014 12 - External CTCSS (0=Ignore, 1=Non-Inverted, 2=Inverted) (1) 13 - COR Type (0=Normal, 1=IGNORE COR, 2=No Receiver) (0) When I do a menu 98 with no signal I get GPS Lock: 0 Connected: 1 COR: 0 EXT CTCSS IN: 0 PTT: 0 RSSI: 0 With a signal no pl I get GPS Lock: 0 Connected: 1 COR: 1 EXT CTCSS IN: 0 PTT: 0 RSSI: 118 With a signal with PL I get GPS Lock: 0 Connected: 1 COR: 1 EXT CTCSS IN: 1 PTT: 1 RSSI: 160 So this shows that CTCSS works fine here. tried every setting, and upgraded to 1.46, no dice. I'm going to try and build a transistor circuit for it and see if that helps It would be nice if there was a readme file that explained what the voter-plus.cry file vs voter-smt.cry was, and some updated docs on the actual rtcm... they are heavily out of date and aren't very detailed. also a changelog would be nice? Ar you absolute sure your CTCSS line is doing what you expect? voter-plus.cry is for yet to be released hardware. It should work on the hardware you have… maybe… sorta. You may in fact need a transistor circuit. The RTCM CTCSS needs to have very near rail voltages. If your radio isn’t pulling the CTCSS input to very close to zero volts it won’t work. So do check your CTCSS output while connected to the RTCM. Make sure it goes to zero and build a circuit if not. Finally found the issue here, well my engineer N3TJJ did. The wireline card needs to be set to full-duplex. A motorola gotcha per-se. Since the wireline card isn't even being used in this case, it's just one of those stupid quirks. Once we changed that setting the PL and receive COR's worked fine... viola!
