My node , 27595 appears to be fully operational now and ready to be deployed on the air finally except I have one burning question. I can control and access my node both locally and through the phone portal but not with the web transceiver. When I access most other nodes through the web transceiver I am immediately connected to them and the image of the keypad on the web page is active. When I access my node through the web transceiver the "keypad" stays inactive and the audible connection message does not play. What am I missing? Can someone please assist me with this final configuration of my node? Thanks in advance! Peter, WA7FUS, Node 27595 Brier, WA
you are absolutely correct. it doesnt. that is very strange, since it can be connected through via normal means (from other nodes). If you would, please reply (privately, *not* to the list) and gimme your login info, and I will take a look. JIM WB6NIL

This works fine on my system Have you enabled "User Access via Web Transceiver" on the Access Settings menu of the Allstar Node Configuration at the portal? I find that I cannot connect to your system either. Does the iax.conf file on your repeater have a [allstar-public] stanza? Does the extensions.conf file have a stanza of the same name? 73 Ken

I can connect my Allstar node to yours, but I cannot connect to your node with the my Web transceiver. To me this would seem to point to a problem in the portal somehow - as if your access setting was not working. Ken

I guess I should clarify that when I say mine "works fine": I have two nodes forwarded through the same router that the PC is behind (port 4568 and 4569). I can connect to either of them (or both of them at the same time, using two windows!) There is no special routing needed for the PC (web transceiver) node. Ken

are you using a current version (like in the last 2 years or so) of ACID (or Limey). Obviously you have something either old or non-standard, since your asterisk obviously is not compiled with 'curl' support. If you are running a Centos/RHEL/Fedora distro you can 'yum -y install curl-devel' and then COMPLETELY re-install asterisk (especially including the ./configure step). JIM

I suppose you could validly call it an "issue" :-). Some (certainly *not* all) NAT devices (such as cable/dsl routers, etc) do *not* have the ability for a device on the LAN side to access another device on the LAN side through its WAN address. Obviously, the WebTransceiver connects you to a node's public IP address (WAN side of a NAT device). Unfortunately, this is just a shortcoming of these NAT devices. If it really is a problem, I suggest finding one that performs that routing function successfully. JIM WB6NIL
