The future allstarlink.org website has been up and running continuously since we announced it a week or so back. So far the feedback has been great. We've made a couple of minor modifications based on that feedback. If you missed the announcement or just haven't had a chance to visit the new site there is still plenty of time to have a look before we roll it out. I love the new website. There is one thing that is not ok that I found. When registering a new account, if you are not from the USA you choose your country (me Canada) , then in the prov/state/region section you can only choose one of the US state ;-) Not that I hate the states, but it would be nice to choose the right one. Beside that, it is very good and I can only give good words.. Have a great day! I think this is a bit outside the scope of what's needed. You have a callsign, and that can be looked up if you want to get a hold of someone. Some people don't want to receive email, so they don't publish it. If a node is violating the TOS for ASL, (ie linking to non amateurs, etc), then kick off a recording of it to helpdesk@allstarlink.org. Anything else, you can block the node or user. The wiki has a good article on the blacklist process. 73's -- Bryan Fields 727-409-1194 - Voice http://bryanfields.net
That would be a violation of our privacy policy: https://web-tpa.allstarlink.org/about/privacy.php I suggest using QRZ.com to lookup any email the node owner may choose to publish. On Mon, Dec 17, 2018 at 12:27 AM Steve Passmore <k6kya@hokeynet.net> wrote:

Could you either increase the number of nodes displayed or provide a drop down with choices like 25/page….
Otherwise, the site looks good.

The new site is temporally at web-tpa.allstarlink.org. -- Tim WD6AWP _______________________________________________ App_rpt-users mailing list App_rpt-users@lists.allstarlink.org http://lists.allstarlink.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/app_rpt-users

I dont think he is talking about exposing email addresses, but having a contact form where you can contact the owner of node x. that form then sends whatever to the registered email address. the person who filled out the form has no clue of where it's going to, they just know that they attempted to contact the owner. IRLP does this via a simple "Ask a question" link on every single node status page.
