I've been removing people once asked. There is info at the bottom of every email as well to unsubscribe ones self as well.
This is not a comment on how people were added to the list in the first place. I do have issues with that.
As a professional that's fought SPAM for ages, I can assure you I thought hard about this. I can understand your concerns and do appreciate feedback.
