xreflector bridge software?
by Steve 01 Aug '16

Aside from the DMR gateway software, what other software is out there? I understand the xreflectors provide a way for D-Star / DMR and Fusion radios to cross communicate when everyone connects to an xreflector. Seems like xreflectors and the common CCS7 radio ID just needs an Asterisk tie in (or maybe it already does) Problem being seems a lot of the development is done by German hams, and there is a little language barrier to understanding what the xreflectors are running for software to enable all of this. Does anyone know more about what they are doing?

MMDVM rev 1

I've been running a rev 1 board for a couple weeks and, except for having to spend an extra couple bucks for the accessory TXCO and fiddling with the sensitive level pots from the hardware side (and changing the bandwidth setting in the moto CPS to 25kHz and letting the sw handle figuring it out), the thing runs just fine (constantly..especially BM TG 3100). And have successfully connected via DMR, DStar, and Fusion. -- Bryan Sent from my iPhone 6S...No electrons were harmed in the sending of this message.

HBlink (non BrandMeister connectivity for MMDVM
by Steve Zingman 31 Jul '16

It's been a busy week. Along with a ton of other projects, Cort N0MJS, Mike N4IRR and I have been building a non BrandMeister based Master / Peer system for MMDVM. As of now we have 2 MMDVM nodes communicating through a Master. This allows connectivity without needing to connect to a BM network what so ever. This is early in the project and we will expand it to include a method to connect to other networks including BM and DMR-MARC among others. Expect the same features as DMRlink including bridge rules. Mike already has a prototype HBlink <---> DMRGateway running so MMDVM to AllStar will happen. The project is TOTALLY open source. In the next few days, I'll have a Master running full time on mmdvm.dvswitch.org so people can start to play. No changes are needed to MMDVMHost other then adding a new Master to MMDVM.ini. The repository is at <https://github.com/n0mjs710/HBlink> Be aware, the code is changing many times a day. This is not production ready. Your mileage may vary. Let the fun begin... Sharing my work

So a very small task in the world of asterisk, but a bit if a step for me. I have been using dmrgateway to steer from my node which TG will be heard on my ASL node. This was fine an dandy, but I only have one dmr repeater on my network and about a half dozen repeaters. I wanted a simple way to be able to from any repeater of my own to change TG. I created a small script when I hit a 3 digit dtmf string it executes the script. It puts that repeater in command mode and changes the TG and then exits command mode. So I put this on all of my repeaters. So if I get out if range of my dmr repeater I can keep the conversation going on analog. I'm hopefully going to be adding a second dmr repeater to my network which will be a second repeater connected to dmrlink. With these two repeaters alone I will cover probably the major travel/high population density area of ME. The one I have covers from Portland to Augusta. The second site will provide excellent overlap and extend my coverage further south and inland. Thanks to Steve and Mike for your help and your creations for the public to use.
