DMRGateway Install Error
by David Shaw 31 Mar '17

31 Mar '17

Hello, Today for my birthday I received a new DVThumb. I'm using N4IRS 's DMRGateway. I ran ./mk_dmrlink and got an error. cp: cannot stat ‘/srv/DMRlink/RS129.py’: No such file or directory I edited mk_dmrlink and rem out the line: #cp /srv/DMRlink/RS129.py /opt/dmrlink Is this OK? -- Thanks, David "Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed one." All-star to Dstar and back
by Ryan Collier 22 Mar '17

What is the best way to get this done? I have an xlxd reflector with a dv3000 and many dstar boards. What is the best way to get this done? I would rather have software not software and hardware. I know I will probably need the dv3000 board. But just need the piece to connect the two together. I just don't want to have to run a usb fob to a dstar board.

All-star to Dstar
by Ryan Collier 20 Mar '17

20 Mar '17

So I have tried all weekend to get this done. I am just going to use an extra dstar board and a usbfob. I can not get the bridge between the two. I tried the usrp and chan_dstar. I think I am just going to go back to usbfob and try to do it again later. Thanks, Ryan (KB8PMY) KD8TUZ Hamilton Wireless Radio Club

MMDVM / Homebrew to IPSC
by Matthew Harrold 14 Mar '17

Hi, I've spotted some references to this mailing list suggesting that someone had a working MMDVM / Homebrew protocol to IPSC implementation. Is that correct? I'd like to use HBLink (https://github.com/n0mjs710/HBlink) to connect hotspots to an IPSC based network. Thanks Marrold

Revisiting the MMDVM And Things
by Buddy Brannan 06 Mar '17

Hi y'all, OK...revisiting this. Parts and pieces I'll need: I have an All Star node. Well, two, actually, but one that's permanent. So, pretend I'm 8 years old. Well OK, 8 year olds are smarter. I need an MMDVM with the Arduino kit, correct? This plugs into a computer (Pi or other) ia USB? And then what? Currently I have a modified USB fob with All Star. Do we do DSTAR, or just DMR? Or can we transcode? Does the mmdvm replace the USB fob? Or should i build up something entirely new on a different freq to play around with? I'm a little overwhelmed mostly because I'm not sure where to start reading. Sadly, diagrams won't help. ... -- Buddy Brannan, KB5ELV - Erie, PA Phone: 814-860-3194 Mobile: 814-431-0962 Email: buddy(a)brannan.name
