Hello, I'm programming my APX8000 for the P25 channels in the area and would like to know if there is a "go by" to look at for reference? I have a few of the channels programmed, and the ones I can reach from my location appear to work, but haven't been able to raise anyone. St Pete analog/p25 repeater

I've moved the analog/p25 repeater back to 444.3750 MHz. I hope this will give a better performance as we're losing about 20w in the filter due to being 50 KHz off frequency. (~2.3 dB) -- Bryan Fields, W9CR Florida Simulcast Group, Inc.

Hamwan outage today

FCC NPRMs pending that will eliminate HamWAN

As you may be aware the DSRC users have all but eliminated the use of 5.9 GHz in the Tampa site. These people have proven they are incompetent and we would expect the same sort of user to appear in the valuable 3.4 GHz band. 3.4 GHz is the only non-shared with part 15 amateur band, and we use it exclusively for backhaul on the Tampa Bay HamWAN. There is no other band where we have clean spectrum, and easily accessible data radios. 10 GHz would be great, but there are no commercial companies building product which will work there. BGP is up on HamWAN

We now have a BGP session up on HamWAN with our provider. Special thanks to Jerry for setting this up for us. St Pete UHF repeaters are offline

As of about 1700 today, the St Pete UHF repeaters are offline. This is do some of the work required for the commercial users at the site and we expect to be offline until their work is complete in a week or two. Webcam on the Tampa site
