Calling a shell script via DTMF

Hi all, I'm wondering what the syntax is to call a shell script from a DTMF command in app_rpt - or even if this is possible? What I'm trying to do is a variation on the method described by Steve earlier to inhibit incoming calls. What I intend to to is this: When the user keys a specific DTMF code, have a script run which renames IRLP.conf as somethingelse.conf ad then restart asterisk, so effectively disabling IRLP part of the node. I will do the same with Echolink but with a different code..... I've tried using the dialplan to call some announcements just to see if it worked - it didnt! Here is what I put in my dialplan ( I tried under Default and also Radio-secure stanzas ) exten => *990,1,Answer exten => *990,n,Wait 1 exten => *990,n,Playback,rpt/connected exten => *990,n,Playback,rpt/functioncomplete exten => *990,n,Hangup So, I wonder what I'm doing wrong here - I thought I'd try and get this working before going on to use the *990,n,system(script_directory/script) method. Is it possible to call a system command from rpt.conf instead? Thanks for all your patience! Matt G4RKY

okay.. i found who asked for the courtesy tone disable in duplex=1, but I am still looking for the person who asked for the telemetry/announcement holdoff while radio/remote is keyed. Please come forward and identify yourself. Its driving me insane! Thanks!! JIM WB6NIL

simplex node id

what is the setup necessary to get a simplex node to id like it's a repeater? The simplex node I am testing only id's on first keyup and then doesn't id again until after the time expires and someone else keys up.. What am I missing? How to prevent incoming connections

Hi, When I play the GB2RS news and ARnewsline audio files over my node, the playback is killed off by an incoming connection. How can I prevent an incoming connection during this time? I thought I could disable the node but of course this kills the Tx completely! Didnt want to do anything as drastic as take down ETH0 if I could help it as the node is on a remote hilltop. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Matt G4RKY

Recheck your connectivity: bug found and fixed in allstarlink registration server code

A bug was found and fixed in the allstarlink registration server code which was propagating incorrect port numbers to all of the nodes past node 2298. Jim Dixon fixed the problem, and now the port numbers should show up correctly in rpt_extnodes Steve WA6ZFT

Has anyone been able to build limey linux for this board? What I'm trying to build is the cf image I downloaded from: http://limeylinux.org/downloads/cfimg-i3386g-1.0.7-test4.tar.gz The source I downloaded does not have a makefile entry for the i3386g.
