USB Battery Bank that supports 'Pass Through Charging' and acts as a UPS for Allstar Nodes running on a Pi

Hi Folks: Wonder if anyone has a lead on a USB Battery Bank that supports pass-through charging and does NOT interrupt the output voltage when there is loss of commercial power? I'd like to use a battery bank on my remote node down in FL (renowned for electrical storms!), so keeping the Pi up during brown-outs and loss of commercial power is a big plus. Output CTCSS Follow Input?

I seem to recall discussion of a setting that transmits CTCSS only when local repeater input or linked audio is being transmitted, and does not for ID, courtesy tone, etc. I've looked through the archives but have not found anything. I may just be confusing it with features of some other controllers. The reason I ask is a recent discussion on the other list ended with the answer of being unable to do it since there is not any code in all of asterisk/app_rpt to handle it. Thanks, Brett KQ9N

Hello Everyone, Quick question. I'm not able to edit / access my node settings on the website. All I have is "Home" "WebTransceiver" "Network" "Account Settings". Got a strange error in my AT&T gateway

Hi all. I've been seeing a daily reboot of my AT&T gateway, has done it three times now. Steve Gibson, the guy that gave us SpinRite back in the DOS days, has a much better port scanner. I wanna say his site is Gibson research Inc, or, GRC dot com, but research would help. AutoSkyWarn Version 5M is now ready for release. Available at http://kizzy03.wixsite.com/kf5vh/auto-skywarn AutoSkyWarn (ASW) is designed to couple SkyWarn Operations with AllStar Servers / Nodes. ASW is a program / shell script (developed to run on the AllStar DIAL distribution for PCs) allowing an AllStar Server and Node to automatically report and announce about 50 National Weather Service (NWS) Warnings, Watches, Advisories and Statements as they occur. You can access the Overview and ReadMe1st first documents at http://kizzy03.wixsite.com/kf5vh/auto-skywarn and also on that site you can hear 3 sounds clips of messages produced by ASW. This release is for someone that has worked with UNIX/Linux systems as superuser. There are installation notes, but no step by step installation guide. (There is an effort to integrate ASW into the DIAL add-on/upgraded system.) The software requires Festival and SOX to operate. I will be releasing copies of ASW (as a tarball) by email until a direct download is available. Audio ' Clicking '

At ETSNJ, we run 2 repeaters off a Raspberry Pi. After a few days, the audio begins to suffer brief interruptions with a clicking type sound. It progressively gets worse until it is chopping up the actual conversation. I can clear it by re-booting the Pi, but it returns after a time. I've looked at the running processes, and do not see anything abnormal that would chew up processor resources. Anyone have thoughts on what this might be?

2 nodes on a laptop running DIAL

Hi guys, I know this has been asked before and I can't seem recall when... I have 2 DMK URI's on my laptop running DIAL. My problem is that every time I power cycle the laptop, the URI's get readdressed and the node *usbxxxxx.conf files have to be changed to reflect the new buss assignments. How do we get around this? I'm not sure at this point if it is a DIAL issue or a hardware issue with the laptop. I have seen this before on another platform, just can't seem recall what I did to fix it. Changing the platform is not an option in this case, I have a project in process that requires a laptop running DIAL with GUI installed. My system is working great with the exception of the USB assignments Ron, N6GKJ
