Registration issues

My nodes 27365 and 27751 both on same server is showing on the status page but not showing in the rpt_extnodes on other nodes im using standard port 4569. we have been seeing this with several nodes in our group over past month or so of coarse if we define in the rpt file we can connect but would be nice if it was registering. sometimes it may show up in a few hours or a day generally a reboot and its gone again Thanks for any help in advance 73 Randy KB3HJC

Hi Tim, Yes I found that page, it's close to what I need but not quite. I'll just edit the rpt.conf file whenever I work on the system. I was hoping to disable only my local node announcements on my computer and have everything else announce. I am picking up quickly the basic settings. Disable or change connect messages?

Greetings to the group. This is my first post of potentially many more. Quick question; I have 1 repeater on a URIx and 1 link radio on a URIx going to another repeater, on the same node computer. In regards to linking the two systems I want to be able to change the Allstar local node connect messages or disable them. I still want other inbound Allstar and Echolink connection announcements. I am developing the system and editing the configuration files and will need to restart asterisk often. It would be nice if I didn't have to hear the connections every time. Is this possible? Xelatec Restarting Issue

The Xelatec server (node 28290) has been running flawless for two years as a simplex 2m link but after an improper shutdown I now receive the following message and restart continues over and over. “Unable to connect to remote asterisk (does /var/run/asterisk/asterisk.ctl exist?)” Please help, K1ZGB Will

Keeping up with security advisories?

I understand the reasons why the project forked from Asterisk, but I've been looking and it doesn't seem like even security fixes have been picked up since that point. There have been several advisories from the Asterisk project about security issues, some of them serious serious, that affect the version this project forked from. Maybe your internal IP address changed on your asterisk box? Also, you will get this if you have a different WAN IP address from your provider and the nodes list database hasn't updated and propagated it throughout the system yet. (i.e. wait a while for everything to update). (TIP - always use a local static address on your asterisk box) Also make sure you have different IAX ports if you have multiple asterisk boxes on your local LAN. DTMF over Autopatch.

Greetings, I was wondering what setting gets DTMF over an autopatch path only. Once I get connected to like voicemail or something else I lose dtmf passing through. but I can still *0 to disconnect. Any ideas or help? Ryan
