The two types of telemetry I can send off right now are Playback -- Plays to all nodes ( even ones with telemetry disabled ) Localplay -- Plays to current node only The app_rpt telemetry in the back end seems to consist of more than these two. For instance, if I connect to a node, telemetry is sent out, and only nodes with telemetry enabled play this. In addition, the files are stored on each node locally, and does not have to be sent out through the network. This differs from both localplay and playback, which actually transmit the file over the network. Is there any interface or command that I can manually send out this type of telemetry packet? For example, broadcast a packet that tells the nodes to say "Node ABC connected to node XYZ" even though the event never happened? Thanks, Skyler

STATIC IP / ASL MENU

I am trying to setup a system by just following the Beginners Guide and using ASL_MEMU. I want to have a static IP, and followed the instructions in the menu entering the data and then saving it. The system remains in DHCP mode every time. When I look at the /etc/network/interfaces file, there are no entries made. When I look for information on setting a linux static IP, it shows entering data in this file. Has anyone had success following the ASL-MENU?

ASL SETUP

I am trying to help a friend with a first-time Allstar setup by creating a step-by-step guide. I'm following the ' Beginners Guide ' from the Wiki. All went well until the radio-tune-menu. Step 1 OK. Step 2 OK, plenty of noise level and squelch set. Step 3 - set rx voice level - there is no level at all, no matter what number I use. Secondary issue..I cannot connect with SSH ( WinSCP ).

Connection Failed

I have a node behind my NAT router (50026): 192.168.1.250 port 4569 allstar port 5198-5200 echolink port 5201 supermon The above all works!!! Allstar/DVswitch error message

Can anyone tell me why I am seeing this empty registration message: Connected to Asterisk GIT Version adaec47 currently running on repeater (pid = 555) Verbosity is at least 3 [Jul 24 16:20:55] NOTICE[617]: chan_iax2.c:6809 register_verify: Empty registration from 24.124.97.212 repeater*CLI> This message repeats every 30 seconds. 24.124.97.212 is my IP address. Everything seems to be working fairly well. It is running on a Raspberry Pi 3B+. Hams connect to it with Zoiper, Echolink, and Dvswitch Mobile and use it to make a connection to the QRM DMR network. iaxRPT on Win10 and a massive headache

I am quite befuddled at this point. Have had iaxRPT running on my nodes for quite sometime and I have a couple Win10 laptops that work just fine with it. Never a problem. Buddy is getting ready to go on some extended travels and wanted to use iaxRPT to connect with my node and stay in touch. Can not get it to work on his laptop. Can not get audio to his speakers. Shows on iaxRPT VU but can not get it to speakers. Yes, audio per app is turned up in settings. Second issue, will not key up anything on network. PTT goes red but nothing else happens. Looking at Asterisk CLI on my node see no activity at all when he tries to transmit. He is another city so we have been doing this via phone and Teamviewer. All of his settings match the ones that I'm using on my Win10 machine as far as I can see. Have tried running as administrator, compatibility mode and turning firewall off for giggles. Probably something really stupid, but I'm overlooking it. Hope one of our resident gurus may have an idea. Going to go take a couple Tylenol's now. Ed W8VT

Phone portal and stats

Sync to Google Drive

I am sorry Tom, I didn't see your message until today. There have been numerous methods shared over the years to sync to Drive, they seem to go in and out of style depending on which is working the best as Google modifies their code. I think the current flavor of the week is called drivesync, a tutorial that is easy to follow can be found here: https://www.2daygeek.com/drivesync-google-drive-sync-client-for-linux/ Personally my method is quite a bit more complex as I sync to a database on firebase, but the above link should get the job done for you.
