Autopatch on a simplex node?

Hi All; I've been helping another node owner to setup an autopatch on his system. I have everything working - BUT... when it comes to outbound calls, the PTT on the local (simplex) radio is kept keyed, which prevents any local traffic from being sent over the radio to the remote callee. I'm wondering whether the PTT can be dropped on a simplex node? Cheers, Ramesh.

Bug or wrong implementation?

For a simplex node you must tell the usb fob or URI that you are connected to a simplex radio (not a full duplex radio like a repeater). Otherwise the moment it receives a signal it will attempt to key the same radio because it thinks it full duplex. So in usbradio.conf set duplex=0 for simplex radios. Also in rpt.conf you must tell App-rpt that you are running in half duplex node so you must state in the node stanza duplex=0. If you dont it will assume you are connected to a repeater. So I dont think its a bug it just needs to be configured correctly. Hope this helps. I don't understand something, and before I file this as a bug report on Mantis, I want to make sure that it is. My current setup consists of a DMK URI, and an Icom UHF commercial radio running simplex. I have this parameter set in usbradio.conf: duplex=0 If I set duplex=1, it will continually kerchunk. If I set it back to duplex=0, when the radio receives a signal, it will transmit. Update app_rpt?

Is it possible to update the app_rpt in ACID? When I dial the *82 it tells me the version is 0.174 and I'd like to have 0.183 or later for the cop,48 feature. If it's possible, how would I go about doing this? Thanks, Jeff

Hello, I am slowly but surely bringing up a remote Kenwood TS2000 using Limey linux with a URI I have successfully gone through the steps in the wiki to get the rx audio adjusted. iax-Rpt seems to be configured correctly and has no trouble connecting to my node. transmit control seems to be working as expected i.e. it properly keys up the rig. have not yet checked tx audio or deviation. I am using the COR output from the kenwood. it is open collector and active low. (measured 0.6 volts when receiver squelch is open 5.01 volts closed) everything looks like it should be working, But, for the life of me I have not been able to get any receive audio on the iaxRpt windows client. radio tune

Ok, I'm having sme trouble tuning the rxnoise, but I think I know why. I'm using a Motoroa Radius setup, and although the accessory pin output is discriminator, It is muted with the squelch on the radio. Does anybdy know a way around this? Is there a way to keep that pin from being muted? The ther option, which I can't seem to find info on, is simply using the cor pin. How would I go about configuring a node for COR. And my last dumb question... For the moment I'm trying to set this up without alstarlink. How should I set this up so it's not trying to connect to allstarink? Ok, now for the background of the setup because I know people are going to ask. I'm using the ACID install with a modified CM108 USB device. I hooked the device up to a Windows PC to test the audio. I could indeed hear (by raising the MIC volume all the way up) audio from the radio, but no noise when there is no transmission. That's how I know it's muted with the squelch on the radio. I could also play a sund clip I recorded over the radio if I held the PTT key on the mic. So I know the audio is all working. And in asterisk CLI I did "radio tune txvoice" and the radio keyed up perfectly fine and transmitted the tone. So all I have left is to figure out how to get the raw unsquelched noise, or use the COR line from the radio. As for the radio, if there are any motorola peple here, I d have the software and a home made cable that works. So I have gone into the accessory config and changed the pin setup to fit my needs. Figured I'd throw that in before anybody asks. If you get a used radiio you never know what the last person did with the config. Thanks, Jeff

Latest Version of ACID

Where is the latest version of ACID? I found the download at: http://app-rpt.qrvc.com/node/5 But the image doesn't boot. When I look around on the disk, it appears to be based on Centos 5.1. However, scanning around on the web site for install instructions, I see references to 5.2 and 5.3. So I think I'm looking in the wrong area. Thanks Stu W7IY
