1. Go to http://allstarlink,org 2. Log in using your node number and password by clicking the link "Click Here to Log In". If you have lost the password, but remember the email address you signed up with, you can use the recover password feature on the main page to email your password to you. 3. Click the button labeled "Update Info for Node XXXX" 4. The public info will be preented, and you will be able to make changes. 5.There are two new fields COUNTRY and AFFILIATION. These can be updated at this point 6.When all the changes have been made click on "Submit Change Request". We will review you changes and if we approve, they will take effect post approval. If by chance you need to go back and change something, and we have not yet approved the changes, your most recent changes will be presented to you. Steve WA6ZFT

Quad PCI Radio setup

Hi all, i'm installing a system with Quad Radio card, but i can't find any documentation about zaptel.conf and zapata.conf files for this card. All seems to start ok but when i call rpt(${NODE}) i get this message: "rpt:Sorry unable to obtain Rx channel" In rpt.conf, rxchannel is Zap/1 and txchannel is Zap/2. I've followed zaptel.conf comments and configured channels=1-4 # cat /proc/zaptel/2 shows this: Span 2: PCIRADIO/0 "Board 1" 1 PCIRADIO/0/0 2 PCIRADIO/0/1 3 PCIRADIO/0/2 4 PCIRADIO/0/3 (Span 1 is ZTDUMMY) I don't know if channels in zapata.conf must be configured with any signalling type as with other cards like tdm400 or so. app_rpt with single usb interface CPU requirements.

Hello.. I'm looking for a little feedback on those who have experienced and used the USB sound device and realtime CPU requirements for the DSP routines.. Reading the documentation suggests that I MUST use at least a 1.3Ghz CPU for usb_chan applications. The dilemma I have is that I have a beautiful rackmount AMD Duron 1.1Ghz CPU server sitting right here that would be awesome for the application if it will keep up. It's going to be a very light use system (testing only) and single user at a time type scenario.. not multiple connections or linking to other repeaters etc. This will not be the production multiuser system. * I will be using non compressed codecs (G.711/WAV/PCM) wherever possible for voice quality Internet bandwidth is not a concern on this system. Do you think I'm still going to run into a CPU bottleneck with a 1.1Ghz CPU for this use? (I know just try it out and see... and I'm going to) haha. What part of the code eats the most CPU? I ahve a lot of experience using Asterisk 2.4 on older P2/400Mhz class systems and I have had a lot of surprising performance out of them in terms of multiple users compressed codecs (GSM/G729) trascoding meetme conferences and IAX trunks all going on at the same time without issues and seeing relatively low CPU usage considering all the activity and bridging transcoding goign on. I must admit I've never used asterisks built in inband DTMF detection because I've never been able to get it to work reliably even on a lighning fast 3.5Ghz Xeon. Might just be that I've not taken the time to work with it because RFC2833 works flawlessly for VOIP. (getting a little side tracked there sorry). Hi All, I have a few feature requests. They are: 1). Output CTCSS only when valid input present (Local or remote), not during hang time, ID's etc. 2). Initial ID. After timer expires due to inactivity it gives a different ID than the normal 10 minute ID. (ex: Welcome to the XYZ repeater, PL 123.4 instead of CWID or other Voice ID) 3). They are only part of the install process. astupd.sh is the script you want to run, but if your system(s) are not ACID version 0.9 then you'll have to re-install from scratch. The script will refuse to do an update if the versions don't match. The helper scripts are located in: /usr/local/sbin and that should be part of the path. If it still segfaults after installing ACID 0.9, then you might want to compare configs against working and non-working nodes to see what usbradio setting(s) is causing the problem. iaxrpt port?

Is there any way to set up IAXRPT to use a port other than 4569 on the app_rpt end? I have tried the setting in the preferences and it does not seem to change it. Thanks, Scott KB2EAR

Node segfaulting help please

Hi all, I was wondering where the scripts for updating, taking down and bringing up App_rpt are hiding on the new install. I built a new node recently ( well quite a few ) and I have two of them that segfault when I try to run the "radio tune rxvoice" routine. I was going to try and reinstall remotely - is there any way of running the installation phase scripts remotely? Thanks in advance for any help received, Matt G4RKY
