I don't know if I asked.this or.not, but what will this upgrade procedures do to us that are also running chan_irlp? These upgrade instructions must be followed to the letter. 1. Change directories to /root 2. If you don't have an astupd.sh file STOP. Your ACID install is too old and you will need to do a fresh install which will install the latest version automatically. If you have to re-install, make a backup of your config files in /etc/asterisk so that you can restore them to the new install. 3. If you have an astupd.sh file, you will need to update it by downloading a new version. Use the following wget command from the /root directory to do this: wget http://dl.allstarlink.org/installcd/astupd.sh 4. Once the new script is downloaded, type: ../astupd.sh 5. Your system will now be updated. Wait for the download and compile to complete. 6. Reboot your system and check to see that your node is functioning properly. is this specific to app_rpt? all the sip, extensions, iax, and a few other commands are missing. I can see commands being depreciated but suddenly removed...what happened, when and where did the change come to be? I'm working on configuring my app_rpt node for autopatch and such. what happened to "sip reload" in the asterisk CLI? How does one reload sip.conf? Eric AF6EP

Matt, If you followed the instructions is the ACID sysadmin manual, everything should be fine. Since database show is working, most of it is up and running. You might want to post your echolink.conf file with rhe password obiliterated to the list so that we can see if it is ok. If you try to connect before everyone gets an updated list the connection will fail. Please try after about an hour so that everyone gets a list with your node in it. Something else to check: Is your node showing up on echolink.org? [App_rpt] Problems with Echolink on app_rpt

Dear all, I've upgraded my node to the latest release and have attempted to get Echolink working on my node. However, I'm having problems and wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction for a fix? When I try to make an outgoing call from my node to an echolink node, I instantly get the "node connection failed" message. On the CLI, the announcement text is immediately preceeded by: WARNING[5786] file.c:1198 waitstream_core: Unexpected control subclass '13' When I try to make a call IN to my node form an Echolink node, I see: ERROR[2508]: chan_echolink.c:2165 do_new_call: Cannot find DB entry for a/ipaddr/81.156.xxx.xxx However, I do frequently see messages such as: NOTICE[2507]: chan_echolink.c:1758 sendcmd: Received OK from Echolink server europe.echolink.org and the database show command works fine also. Do I need to follow these instructions here : http://app-rpt.qrvc.com/echolink.html or is my node already up to date enough to not have to do this? I also noted the existence of an IRLP config file in the config examples - I need IRLP functionality on my node and so is this something I can use too? [App_rpt] agi programming

has anyone done any agi programming with their setup? If so, care to share some config examples on how you integrated it into the dialplan, etc? I have a remote control function that i built for IRLP that i would like to port over to asterisk, but without seeing examples lack a starting point. Thanks. [App_rpt] New Asterisk w/app_rpt Package Released

Greetings to the Group, Just in time for the weekend, there is a new release of Asterisk with app_rpt Amateur Radio Over IP software available. This new release is a network install that insures that you always get the latest assembled and tested software from our source code repository. You can upgrade from an earlier software release by using the Backup and Restore utility. If you don't have a CDROM drive, you can install from a USB pen drive. Hi All, I just wanted to let you know that adding the noapic to the grub.conf file seems to have cured the lockup error issue I was experiencing on my IBM box. Also in the BIOS the APM mode was on. Turning it off did not fix the problem but adding the noapic did the trick! By the way my Centos is 2.6.18-92.1.10.el5 So its been running nonstop now for over a day and a half with no problems.
