rejected connection and audio problem

I got this message from my node I just installed when someone tried to connect: [Aug 25 15:37:18] NOTICE[14710]: chan_iax2.c:9043 socket_process: Rejected connect attempt from XX.XX.XXX.XX, request '27299@radio-secure' does not exist I can connect out ok, any ideas how to fix? I'm also not getting any audio from the other node, my audio going out is OK. tnx, Greg

The ID Bug

Hi, OK, I've been able to reliably reproduce the ID bug I mentioned earlier, along with the inability to start macros with A,B,C,D or 0. Briefly, what happens is that on prolonged transmissions, both the talkover ID and the regulr ID fire. This should make the thing happen: 1) Set your ID timer to 30000 (30 seconds) and the polite ID timer to 3000. 2) Restart asterisk, to be sure to get the first ID. 3) Key the repeater and let the first regular ID fire. Don't interrupt it. (I think you can if you want and still get the same results, but just let it run.) 4) After the repeater drops, key the radio. Stay keyed. The ID will actually take something longer than 33 seconds to come back around on the guitar. In any case, stay keyed until the ID plays. 5) You will hear the talkover ID. Stay keyed up, and you will then hear the regular ID play almost immediately after the talkover ID finishes. Most people will probably see this condition only rarely. It's most prominent when playing news bulletins, although it just happened on a net. Web Config Download

What is the methods of a node downloading a config from the website? It doesn't seem to work for my node besides the initial download. I have the node set to something other than register only, and I have Initiated a download with no results. KI6PSP

Connection Issue

We have 3 nodes running in the Phoenix area with one issue, we are unable to connect from node 27092 to 27016, the other direction works fine and we can connect fine all directions except this one. Below is what displays on the CLI from 27092 when trying to connect to 27016. Can someone shed some light on what the problem is here? aux voice obscure facts

I recently changed to using the direct modulator input of the radio for both audio and CTCSS. Formerly, the right channel had been CTCSS only - I just changed the config to: txmixb=composite Then to kill the signal on the left channel, I set txmixa=no With this setting, however, I found that I could not connect from my other node: app_rpt.c:20498 rpt_exec: Connect attempt to node 27021 with tx disabled or NOICE cop function active Setting txmixa=auxvoice got it working again The I figured I would just set Radio tune auxvoice = 0 (or 10 or something low) But it would not let me - it comes out to 700 no matter what value I enter. (So I unplugged that channel). Conclusion - possibly (?) two bugs : 1) Blocking a connection even though one transmit channel is open 2) No ability to adjust auxvoice level on right channel Version 255 Ken

I *think* I did the node migration properly..

I'm pretty sure I moved my old node (2586) to the new system per all of the great instructions but am a little confused with the new web status reports to do with nodes. My node is still registering successfully. In the new interface under Network and "all online nodes" I see many nodes but not my own (2586). However if I click on Network\System-Wide Node List It shows up in that list just fine (database query/report takes ~60 seconds) just as a side note I'm sure you've noticed that. If I try Network\Node status\Node 2586 I get a single line pof text output that shows the time and "node number status of [surrounding node 2586]" that does not change whether the node is registered into the system or not. I realize thes features of the site might not be fully implemented yet. But I'm also not exactly sure what to look for to confirm my migration of the old node to the new system was successful and 100% complete. I had planned to keep this a manual configured node.. But may be the only way to test the system is to let the system configure the node (by setting it up this way) and letting the system configure it and then switch it back to manual config later. Thanks!! Very cool new site & system concept! The separate server and node organizational units may be a little confusing at first but far as I can tell is laying the framework for a very cool & exciting future for app_rpt and allstart link network! I'd love to see it in the future if this were to take a direction where I could have one "server" entity manage multiple "node" entities within my own private WAN where the server reports all of the details back to allstar link.. And the node boxes themselves would not have to have any knowledge of the actual Internet or allstar link in order to work. I may be getting may ahead of myself there on that one. Hi, When I try to use nodesetup.sh and enter portal user id and password it returns with invalid username or password... I know I am using the correct data. Just curious what I am doing wrong. Thanks Chris KB2FAF

lat/lon

I have two servers that I entered at different times - the latitude and longitude on the allstarlink.org tabular (form) page looks OK, but the values are interchanged on one of the two nodes in the graphic status page, depending on how it is displayed one is swapped here (lat<->lon) - the two should be the same http://stats.allstarlink.org/getstatus.cgi?27021 here they are the same, but both are lat/lon swapped http://stats.allstarlink.org/getstatus.cgi?27061 I notice this on other people's nodes too, for example http://stats.allstarlink.org/getstatus.cgi?27200 Ken
