Help!!!! cant get iaxRpt to connect -firewall problems?

G'day all well, he is a newbies question i have installed the current version of xelatec's XIPPR on a machine i have spare here and all looks to have gone fine.... webmin works,ect,ect... but i have installed iaxRPT on this machine i'm using now and i just cant get the damn thing to connect i have opened the correct ports on my router and windoze machine, spent 3 days trolling around for any info but with no luck but the only thing left i can think of is that the ports on the linix machine are closed... i have looked at the iptables file but that looks un populated so is XIPPR using some other form of firewall? sorry for my first post to be a "HELP" message but this looks to be a real fun toy to play with but its fustrating me to hell thanks for reading and cheers 73's Mitch vk6fmll

How to determine which node is transmitting to the hub node

Is there any way to look at some log file to determine which node is transmitting to a hub node? How can I determine which of the many nodes connected to the hub nodes has a stuck transmitter? How can I determine which node is broken so I can disconnect it from the hub node? Is there some type of IAX2 Packet that I can look for that indicates transmit? Has anyone found a solution to this issue? Thanks, Jim WA1SOT

It's not the idea of being cheap for me. It is as simple as I want to build it and experiment with it. If I was going to put it at a site I would then get something I knew was reliable but I plan on testing it in the shack for now and learn it. Does Node Blocking whether it be "deny" "permit" work the same for Allstar as it does for Echolink? If it does would it be placed in the asterisk.conf or the rpt.conf file?

I agree the URI is no doubt the best route to go! There is NO advantage to a CM108. Don't think for a min that being cheap is acceptable in this situation. On that note, I do have 4 genuine CM108 fobs, NIB that I will sell for $25 each + $5 shipping. URI problem

I'm trying to see if anyone has ran into a problem with their URI not flashing, I’m wondering is there a test script or a way to test the URI? Also, Is there some way to go into WinSCP and turn on the lights or troubleshoot the URI? David AF8D

Use a URI adapter from DMK.
