Obviously they had a database problem. I have been a 'system operator' for months with two differnt nodes and I noticed today i was not in the data base. I logged into the allstar webpage and checked my user information and it now shows me as a standard user the two nodes thats been on line for months is gone. I have not changed anything or even been logged into the box to change anything, Any ideas Nodes 27372 , 27373 Randy

Asus eee PC and AllStar

Ok, so I found an Asus eee PC 4G Surf in a box in my shack, and thought I would try it out with AllStar software. I booted up off the USB external cd rom and started the install. It all stops when Allstar wants to connect to the internet, but the network port is not enabled. I cannot get passed this point. How can I get the Asus eee to enable it's network port when booting up? Autopatch and Google Voice

Hi, Ok, so after much consternation I have managed to get my node to make outgoing autopatch calls using google voice with one catch. If I use iaxRpt while connected to my system to make the telephone call it works fine. If I use dtmf tones on the radio nothing happens. All other commands by dtmf work fine and I obviously use *6 then the phone number since that works fine with iaxRpt. I would assume that since it works one way, I have rpt.conf, sip.conf etc set up correctly. What could I be missing? Thanks Chris KB2FAF

thinking of selling off my systems...just don't have the 'oomph' to keep them up, and the micor is a constant source of headaches (add-in squelch board just goes brain dead and cuts out; sometimes the t/r relay will not activate, even when activating the PTT pin on the external interface...thumping the center board usually brings it back...it has a rushing noise on rf repeat, sounds like a 'woosh' when the machine keys up...). Just running out of patience, and, to be honest, the whining of users. Get enough of that from the XYL and work colleagues. So, what I have is: 1 220MHz Micor repeater conversion running at 10W 1 TE Systems 220 mhz 120w mobile amp (running at 50% power...NEVER gets hot) 1 6 can duplexer (Decibel products)...don't know the model, tuned to freqs 1 6 can Angle Linear duplexer w/2 can rcv preselector and PHEMT preamp, tuned to freqs. 1 Tram 1494 antenna cut to xmt freq. 5 DMK dongles w/usb cables 100' LDF4-50A Heliax divided into a 25' and a 75' section, with andrews N males on both ends 1 N-N polyphaser 1 900 mhz maxtrac conversion to 902 Rcv 1 900 mhz spectra conversion to 927 xmt As a package, now..the angle linear duplexer is sitting in CA at the factory....and can tell you that it is 1) not cheap, and 2) is the best that's out there. Hello all. I have a question about the cm108 and other compatible usb sound fobs. First, Im not sure if my fob is being initialized properly. After reading the installation instructions for Acid, my fob's lights are not blinking like the instructions say it should. The source of the fob says this is a cm108 chipset fob. Should the light or lights on any of the cm108 and other fobs blink when initialized? Is there an easy way to tell if this fob is a cm108 with terminal commands? Is there any other modules that need to be loaded for proper fob startup? I guess you can tell im new at asterisk. I did order a different one though that Ive seen others use just in case I have other issues with the ones I did order earlier. Driver 'sr' needs updating - please use bus_type methods I am getting this after my asterisk machine boots up. I am currently using the limey distro. Is this something that needs to be addressed immediately and if so, how do I envoke the update process? Also, is there a way to search the archives of the group so that I can look for some of the old post and maybe find what Im looking for? Thanks all.

Hello Harold, Yes, Parallel port COS/PTT/GPIO is supported with both chan_usb and chan_simpleusb! I have had tremendous success with this on my nodes. There is some related info on my web page, if you care to check it out.
