You are aware that the ACID install will wipe out your Windows load? It doesn't mater if you drag it or click it as long as it shows up in the left pane of Disk Utility. I don't think it maters that it's a 32 bit motherboard. I don't know what a rascall interface is. installation disk

For some reason i burned the iso image on my mac and put the new dvd in the windows computer to load up but for some reason it tries to read and then does nothing.. I have already went into the bios to set up to boot from CD rom but no joy.. I then booted that machine into windows and i was able to read the disk so i know the DVD drive is working but still can't get the computer to boot .. is there a installation disc i can just purchase. also has anyone used a rascal interface with this system? Latest SVN?

I had a untouched copy of ACID from about 10 months ago running on one of my Allstar nodes. Tonight I decided to load the latest SVN on it per the instructions. I am now getting this in /var/log/asterisk/messages [Sep 26 18:35:52] ERROR[3137] codec_dahdi.c: Failed to open /dev/zap/transcode: No such file or directory I assume it is this failure causing Asterisk to crash and say: /usr/sbin/safe_asterisk: line 125: 3234 Segmentation fault (core dumped) nice -n $PRIORITY ${ASTSBINDIR}/asterisk -f ${CLIARGS} ${ASTARGS} >&/dev/${TTY} < /dev/${TTY} Asterisk ended with exit status 139 Asterisk exited on signal 11. Automatically restarting Asterisk. I am on kernel 2.6.18-194.17.1.el5 with zaptel stuff loaded directly from the ACID CD I had. Any suggestions on what I messed up or if I should just go download ACID ISO and start over would be greatly appreciated. Mike kb8zgl

For those who might feel *really* brave, I have uploaded what I *think* *might* be a working ACID install CD iso that is based upon Centos 5.7 *not* whatever the current one (I think 5.6) is. This might be helpful for those trying to load ACID on a new computer that the old iso image did not come with network support for. the URL is as follows: http://stats.allstarlink.org/dl/installcd/acid57.iso I want to make it EXTREMELY CLEAR that: 1) I have never, ever built an ACID distro before (Steve WA6ZFT usually does this, and he wasnt around to ask how to do it). 2) It *seems* to successfully run on a virtual slice I have on my desktop. I have not tried it on any other platforms/systems. 3) Since I only was able to SWAG (scientifically random-ass guess) as to how to do it, it may just be DFW (dead wrong, the 'f', of course, is silent). With that said, I would appreciate it if at least someone (or ones) could at least give it a try (dont overwrite a working system, PLEASE) on a scratch disk (that would be harmless to trash). Problem connecting node 27664 to 2363

I am connected to node 27664 via web TX. I dial *32363 to connect it to node 2363. I get this in the log file on 2363, in messages: [Sep 24 22:05:29] WARNING[6333] app_rpt.c: Reported node 27664 cannot be found!! Can anyone tell me what I am missing? Connecting to my node from web transceiver

My node , 27595 appears to be fully operational now and ready to be deployed on the air finally except I have one burning question. I can control and access my node both locally and through the phone portal but not with the web transceiver. When I access most other nodes through the web transceiver I am immediately connected to them and the image of the keypad on the web page is active. When I access my node through the web transceiver the "keypad" stays inactive and the audible connection message does not play. What am I missing?
