Is there any way to set up IAXRPT to use a port other than 4569 on the app_rpt end? I have tried the setting in the preferences and it does not seem to change it. Thanks, Scott KB2EAR

Node segfaulting help please

Hi all, I was wondering where the scripts for updating, taking down and bringing up App_rpt are hiding on the new install. I built a new node recently ( well quite a few ) and I have two of them that segfault when I try to run the "radio tune rxvoice" routine. I was going to try and reinstall remotely - is there any way of running the installation phase scripts remotely? Thanks in advance for any help received, Matt G4RKY

Problem with iax?

Hi all, We recently built a new allstar asterisk repeater using a svn development build from a few weeks ago. ( I did have a small prob with the build but that was easy to fix by altering a makefile, I can elaborate if required) It works fine as a repeater with the DMK fob but when we call an allstar node it fails. However, when we call a echolink server it works fine. We parsed our older xipar config files to build the new configs for the svn build, I guess we may have missed something for the iax to work? It also seems to register ok on the allstar stats site... Any suggestions? When we put our older allstar repeater back in place it works fine on allstar so it can't be a network or firewall issue... How are nodename files saved and restored across restarts on Limey Linux? I did a svastbin and I see the files in astbin.tgz. They did not restore on startup. Are they supposed to? -- Tim :wq

One of my 3 nodes on the same box will not register. The subject error message (obtained with: statpost_program=/bin/wget,-q,--timeout=15,-- tries=1,--output-document=/root/stats.txt) has the wrong/old IP address. Also note /var/lib/rpt_extnodes has the following for my 3 nodes... 2528 = radio@xxx.xxx.xxx.115:4569/2528,xxx.xxx.xxx.115 2530 = radio@xxx.xxx.xxx.69:4569/2530,xxx.xxx.xxx.69,y 2535 = radio@xxx.xxx.xxx.69:4569/2535,xxx.xxx.xxx.69 (what's the y on the second line about?) FYI, I moved nodes 2530 and 2535 to a new box leaving the 2528 behind for a while which in the one that is now screwed up. I'm pretty sure I have everything set up right on the new box as nodes 2530 and 2535 register ok and 2528 is set up the same way. So how do I get the new IP address to take? -- Tim :wq

Greetings and looking for app_rpt getting started information

Hello my name is Steve and I am in Ann Arbor Michigan (USA) Thanks for providing this list and a nice website with useful information regarding allstar & app_rpt. I am looking for some basic getting started information that I have been unable to find from casually searching the web and websites that I know of. I'd really like to get started with app_rpt and a usb dongle (of which I have a box full with the proper cmedia chip. I am an asterisk/Linux/kernel veteran and am very comfortable configuring and building these types of systems. The specific getting started questions that I have but have been unable to find in any FAQ or FAQ lookalike are: 1. What are the app_rpt specific dependencies? a. does it need zaptel/dahdi/libpri? and which ones? b. does it work in asteirsk 1.6 latest stable? c. does it work directly to the usb dongle or does the usb dongle need some sort of driver of it's own.. be it oss/alsa or the like? 2. I am trying to build asterisk 1.6.1 using make menuconfig and under apps --> app_rpt I only get [XXX] it's unavailable and I can't build for it. apparently I'm missing some dependency but have no clue which as there seems to be no documented dependency list I could find.. Asterisk builds and works jut fine without app_rpt. I'd also like to register for an ID number on the allstar network.. Echolink Link Status Page

Is there a way to configure app_rpt as a "sysop" echolink node so that it shows on the Echolink Status page? http://www.echolink.org/links.jsp?lat_deg=&lat_min=&lat_NS=North&lon_deg=&l… A note on the bottom of that page says: The table above shows information collected during the past several minutes from EchoLink "sysop" stations (those with a -L or -R suffix). The only stations shown are those which are running EchoLink version 1.6 or above, and have entered location information on the RF Info tab of Sysop Settings. -- Tim :wq
