Well I took a ride up to the site to either fix it or pull it. Thank you both. I was able to fix the time issue with multiple steps. 1. timedatectl set-time "2014-10-28 09:40:30" < My cut paste with the current date time 2. remove URI < by unplugging the USB 3. astres.sh < Restart Asterisk 4. wait 2 minutes plug in URI. 5. wait 3 minutes 6. key up the repeater and issued *81 << The time was close enough to correct I was happy with it. I also made a stop by the local ISP on my way back home. Just work nudge them and check their progress. Thank you again My test set for the new version of code should be ready to play hopefully by this weekend. copy to /etc/asterisk/rpt.conf (below node#) aka first section. outstreamcmd=/bin/sh,-c,/usr/bin/lame --preset cbr 16 -r -m m -s 8 --bitwidth 16 - - | /usr/bin/ezstream -c /etc/ezstream.xml cp: cannot stat `ezstream.xml': No such file or directory cp: `bin/awk' and `/usr/bin/awk' are the same file cp: `bin/cut' and `/usr/bin/cut' are the same file cp: `bin/env' and `/usr/bin/env' are the same file cp: `bin/gawk' and `/usr/bin/gawk' are the same file cp: `bin/gettext' and `/usr/bin/gettext' are the same file cp: `bin/gunzip' and `/usr/bin/gunzip' are the same file cp: `bin/gzip' and `/usr/bin/gzip' are the same file cp: `bin/kill' and `/usr/bin/kill' are the same file cp: `bin/ksh' and `/usr/bin/ksh' are the same file cp: `bin/logger' and `/usr/bin/logger' are the same file cp: cannot stat `share/man/man1/*': No such file or directory cp: cannot stat `/share/doc/ez*': No such file or directory Followed these directions below.. 1.) Extract the attached file EZS.tgz 2.) Run 'sh EZS' 3.) Agree to everything - yes 4.) Modify the /etc/ezstream.xml file - replacing the ######'s with the correct mount point/password/name of your stream. (These details are provided by radioreference.com when you sign up to do a stream FREE (under the "Technicals" tab in the stream management section.) 5.) add the following to your /etc/asterisk/rpt.conf in the first section ex: above the status reporting section. "outstreamcmd=/bin/sh,-c,/usr/bin/lame --preset cbr 16 -r -m m -s 8 --bitwidth 16 - - | /usr/bin/ezstream -qvc /etc/ezstream.xml" *This should be all on one line ^^^* You may change the ezstream.xml name if you wish but also do so in the /etc dir, ex: if you had multiple streams/nodes to stream from. This setup is per node. btw sometimes I have had to set a cron to kill the ezstream each week or so - has not been an issue lately if you do notice it failing, the command is 'kill -9 $(pgrep ezstream)&' This will not break/stop ezstream but should restart it... Here is example of what it looks like in rpt.conf [29925] ; Change this to your assigned node num$ rxchannel=Radio/usb29925 outstreamcmd=/bin/sh,-c,/usr/bin/lame --preset cbr 16 -r -m m -s 8 --bitwidth 16 - - | /usr/bin/ezstream -c /etc/ezstream.xml duplex=2 Example of node number two same config [27103] ; Change this to your assigned node num$ rxchannel=Radio/usb27103 outstreamcmd=/bin/sh,-c,/usr/bin/lame --preset cbr 16 -r -m m -s 8 --bitwidth 16 - - | /usr/bin/ezstream -c /etc/ezstream2.xml duplex=2 Ez stream still not working even with the correct information in the ezstream.xml files located in /etc/ Kinda lost now what steps i have missed.. Hi, Strictly speaking a router will always route all packets regardless of TCP port number depending on its routing table(because routers route IP packets only and it is TCP, which has a port number that is made up of IP packets hence the name TCP/IP) However our home internet ³routers² nearly always have firewalls built in along with NAT(Network Address Translation) capability. Normally the default firewall configuration on our home ³router² blocks all inbound packet flows which would stop any inbound IAX2 protocol flows from reaching the Allstar box and thus the repeater running allstar would be able to send packets to the allstar network but not receive any IAX2 packets back hence the Allstar connection would not work. There are normal at least two ways to get inbound connections (packet flows) to work on such home ³routers"; 1. Most home internet ²routers² allow a single IP address to be configured so the ³router" will send all inbound connections to this ip address. It is sometimes called a DMZ ( DeMilitarized Zone) ip address. However if you do this, there is nothing ³demilitarised" about this IP address. To all intensive purpose your Allstar box will be standing ³naked² on the internet with NO protection at all! So make sure you have a firewall configured on the Allstar box (that allows SSH and IAX2 connections) after you have tested this configuration. 2. Most home internet ²routers² allow you to configure inbound ports that the router will allow in through the firewall. This is much safer but may be harder to setup.Remember that because of NAT you will never see your internal home IP addresses on the Internet. What you will see is the IP address of the Internet connection that your home router is using. So your Allstar box will appear on the Internet to have the IP address of the home ³router².vOne tip to aid in testing the firewall setup is to use the IAX2ping tool on voip-info.org. It would be really helpful if we could post on one subject at time with the appropriate Subject: line. Also start a new message (not a reply) with the new subject. That keeps the messages properly threaded and helps everybody track what’s going on. It also makes the list archives much more usable. While I’m giving email list advise, it's also helpful to ‘reply all’ unless there is an overriding reason to take the thread off list. Need recording information again lost the email about how to record audio from the repeaters.

This is some random stuff i am seeing in the log just before being disconnected anyone see anything unusual here? Also I would like to setup the recording deal on my allstar node and i forgot how i did it the last time just realized i lost the email... maybe i was using ezstream last time not sure cant remember too well.. There has been some info on this list for SIP connections to app_rpt. Do a Google search like so "site:ohnosec.org and inurl:app_rpt-users sip” and see what turns up. Hello its Loren here need some help setting up my voting system Basically I want to do this via the Internet and link them together which ever one has the strongest or best signal or best audio to be the RX link into the repeaters output so example lets say that the repeater Rx side is weaker than my node at the house it would then kick over and use the internet to access the incoming audio from my house.. I am questioning what the config files should look like for Rpt.conf etc.. some one out there has some examples i would be happy to take a look at them to see start the proccess in setting up my first voting system..
