Hi All.. I have Allstar running great in the BBB except for one issue.. Incoming connections from Web portal, maybe others.. Here is the output.. It's very easy to build a multi-megabit wireless link to some remote site. All you need is clear line of sight to some location with Internet, and a pair of these Ubiquiti Nanobridge antennas. Overloading of a discriminator?

Hi! I am posting this here and on the repeater builder mailling list. I was at a repeater site this week end to install a URI-X and a computer as a repeater controler (allstarlink) for a MSR2000 ham radio repeater. The repeater is already controled by a Elektra 2000 Repeater controller with voice ID. The owner dont want me to disconnect his controler, he want it disable, and in case the computer blow, or something really bad happen he want to power back his small controler and go on while we repair the other controler. Thats a good idea but I think this is cosing my problem. I already have an MSR2000 with a URI connected and all is working ok. But on that repeater no other cards but the receiver and the exiter are inserted in the cage. Even the lien driver are out as I connect directly to the exiter pin 11 to insert the signal. pin 7 for PTT and 10 for ground. And I connect to the exiter out from the receiver for signal output. Now on his system if I do the same and try to run the allstar node while his ssytem is just disable. the audio is cracky and sound like if the repeater is out of frequency. I did a link test and the audio was alos bad at the output of the other system meaning that the source was the problem, not the local output.. Linked system sounded great localy. So I am to assumed that we are kind of overloading the disciminator or am I wrong? If so anyone have a small schematic of an op-amp that could boost this up and have a HIGH impédence enough load that I could have both controler connected? Thnaks Pierre VE2PF.

Asking ways to link the repeater to an APP_RPT machine, to get to the outside world. This would be for repeater sites without out internet access in place. Sorry I didn't clear that up. As far as I know there is Ubiquiti and things like canopy. I'm just wondering if there are other people out there using something other than ubiquiti or motorola canopy.

Not Getting Email from List?

Are any other Apple mail users not getting email from the list any longer? Or maybe a better way to ask it is are you an Apple mail user who is getting email from the list? I had to set up a gmail account as Apple mail completely stopped getting email from the list. I can still post from my Apple account just fine. -- Tim :wq

Maybe my search-fu needs work. I'm trying to read what or what not my options are for deploying a repeater at a site with no internet access. The best I can figure is somehow getting it there by my own means.
