Default session timeout?

I would like to know if there is a default session timeout in the asterisk app_rpt software. Our use case is a basic remote base configuration and the core question is: If i connect to the node with iaxrpt (Windows application), will I be disconnect after N minutes? And if so, what controls this and is there a default value for that timeout? Thanks, -Doug-

AllStarLink at Hamvention 2017

Well, we survived the Hamvention. I'll try to post what went on in regard to ASL but I want to thank Repeater Builder for hosting AllStarLink in their spaces at Dayton. We had a nice banner and a couple of demo systems setup. Quite a few people came by with suggestions and comments. One of the many things I was asked about is the AllStarLink organization. Simply put, AllStarLink Inc. is a not for profit formed to make sure ASL continues to thrive as a Open Source project to support HAM radio. ASL pays the bills to keep the servers running among other things. Below are the people working to keep things moving forward. As you can see, we could use some help in a number of areas. RPi w/DIAL Repeater Stuck In Transmit Mode

Our repeater hung up in transmit mode, and would not respond to radio DTMF commands to restart Asterisk or reboot. We had to manually reset the power. We don't understand why. If this should be a reoccurring issue, perhaps we need an external watchdog timer to reset power after x minutes of constant PTT activation. Looking for suggestions. We are planning to setup a remote (no internet) repeater that is not easily accessible, so want to make sure we have a solution. Thanks, Bob k6ecm 73 Sent from iPad

I was able to get the 820 up and running with this configuration. Name is: usb Rx Level: 500 Rx no-delay: 0 Rx audio-delay: 0 Tx A Level: 500 Tx B Level: 500 preemphasis: no deemphasis: yes plfilter: no rxboost: yes PTT: Active LOW PTT status: Un-Keyed CTCSS (input): CM108/CM119 Active HIGH COS (input): CM108/CM119 Active LOW COS (test): Un-Keyed COS (composite): Un-Keyed Hope this is helpful for those who may need the info. RTCM/Voter pulse noise

An update - I think I've inadvertently fixed the issue. My radio did not need a lot of drive where I was feeding in my audio. About 70mV @ 1KHz to deviate 3KHz. As a result, the TX pot on the VOTER board was too course when setting the deviation level. I inserted a 4:1 voltage divider to give the pot more resolution. After setting my deviation level, I noticed that the "pulse" noise had almost disappeared on my service monitor (no de-emph). On my radio and with the service monitor (de-emph) it had disappeared.... so it appears that having the voter board TX level set low means that noise can be picked up and put on the audio output. Now to move onto the next issue :)

Allmon ii node information bland &

Hi Allmon ii "Node Information" no longer has any information in it, the field is blank. Thanks Chuck, I'll have a play around. I have tested with two separate boards on separate systems with different cables and it does the same. Maybe I'll try some ferrite beads on the audio cables. I built the boards with all the specified components from digikey except the following which were not available anymore - *IC14* - 74HC4053N *C25* - 0.015uF *C78, C79* - 1uF *C75, C80* - 4.7uF *E1-E11* - Ferrites *IC5 *- 74HC139N The ferrites have an impedance of about 65 ohms at 100MHz as compared to the ones specified in the original listing which are 50 ohms at 100MHz. This is probably the most likely reason this noise is breaking through. RTCM/Voter pulse noise

Hi All, Not sure if I've posted this here yet? I've had a pulsing high frequency noise component on my transmit audio out of my VOTER boards. Has anyone come across this? Seems to be in similar time with the status LED, but I assume it's being generated from a chip somewhere. Here is a video of the issue - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJIzuMvpupk Whilst not particularly annoying and only heard at very low level, it is peculiar. I've also tried injecting audio into another spot on the radio. Also tried swapping GPS units, but could possibly be 1PPS noise? Hayden
