Echolink connect/disconnect messages

Hello all, Is there any way to play a connect message to Echolink stations and/or send a text message to connecting Echolink stations in their text box? I believe that this has come up before (March 2011) but I've not found a solution yet. I was actually thinking today of writing a script to deny reoccurring "drive-by" Echolink stations, but maybe a better solution is an audio and/or text message? Serial/Parrallel interface

Hi group, Carl M1ELR here, I noticed in a post a few days ago there was mention of using the Parallel port for PTT or COR, is this possible? I currently run my node using the Centos install package from the Allstar site but can change to the install version from Xipar if needed. I have without success been buying sound fobs to build a new interface and now have a drawer full of USB fobs that I can't mod, if the I/O wasn't via the USB sound fob that would make life so much easier as the CM108 seems to be getting harder to source. IAXRPT Console

I am trying to setup the IAXRPT Console with Xipar and when I try to connect to my system I get Call Attempt Failed in the console and on my Xipar box i get the following message in the log [Oct 1 18:04:25] NOTICE[1679] chan_iax2.c: Host 10.0.0.2 failed to authenticate as gui Thanks Travis Best W3TMB

Too bed the ziapr software didn't recognize them, blobbed or not, they could still be used for remote receivers on the ziapr software voter. You only use the mic jack and ground... This is the SSS1623 chip from 3S. It is compatible with the CM108, but the software must recognise it of course. It will also work for PTT because it supports the same HID commands to drive the GPIO pins, but in your case the pins are not accessible due to the epoxy blob. For anyone that *does* have a packaged SSS1623, there are two GPIOs available. GPIO0 is on pin 27 and GPIO1 is pin 28. Thin client hardware

Has anyone looked at/experimented with/thought about using thin client hardware such as the line of HP boxen as a basis for a simple (ie 1 or 2 radio) node? I'm thinking that, with a CF image plugged in, you can use 800meg-1ghz processors, a couple of USB ports, 10/100 network connection machines that are in the 50-60 dollar range for used equipment, that also run on 12v (the HP that I had from a couple of companies ago had a 12v brick to power it...the gypsy life of an IT security guy, right?) Just wondering. Thinking of gin'ning up a mobile repeater for whatever reason (because I can?), and, to me, 50 or 60 bucks for a processor fits right in with my "hams are notoriously cheap" theory. problems installing the OS

It starts to boot and then goes to blue screen.. Will this all-star link run on UBUNTU instead.. That seams to install fine on my computer.
