how to pass dtmf

Is there a way to have dtmf pass,I want to use dtmf to control something remote from my site. So if a user hits 1234 I want it to pass and *1234 would go to app_rpt can this be done?

Dropping tail after ID

Happy Friday, Wondering how to properly configure rpt.conf to drop the transmitter after right after an ID is sent, with no input activity (local or remote). Right now it keys up, sends CT, drops. Keys back up, sends ID and waits about 4 seconds before dropping. Tail message timers are commented out (but not set to zero). It's a new install so I might have something not "standard", but felt I would ask here for examples. Also, I've combed through the archives, but is there a way to not encode PL during an ID if all the inputs are quiet? Maybe the Event Management Subsystem might be helpful, so we'll see. ? It would be a lot easier from the root prompt to just type astupd.sh and watch the macvhine do the rest. The current on SVN is 0.273; here are the instructions: Upgrading Asterisk to latest (SVN) version : cd /usr/src rm -rf astsrc (or move it out of the way to be safe) wget http://x.allstarlink.org/svn-trunk.tar.gz -O- | tar xzv mv trunk astsrc cd astsrc make upgrade-acid You can also just leave the files on /usr/src/trunk/ since that was the way I always have done it in the past. how to edit .gsm sound files?

Can someone please tell me how to edit .gsm sound files? I would like to cut some words out of some .gsm files and then put them together to form new phrases. I just tried using audacity-win-1.3.12 but could not get it to recognize the .gsm files. Chuck

I have been reviewing the documentation and I see there should be a script called astupd.sh that will update the asterisk source code. I can't seem to find this script on the system. IRLP and Allstar

Is there a easy way to interface Allstar with a IRLP reflector channel? Will TLB do this? I had IRLP running in parallel with Allstar using ACID, but now IRLP gives me "AUDIO DEVICES NOT SET CORRECT" I guess ISA is not supported on ACID Centos 5? Thanks, Greg

ACID app_rpt how to recover from crash?

I am running a system built from the ACID CD. I had it customized and working good and then tried to add another node to the same system. When asterisk tried to restart, the operating system crashed and became unreachable from the network or from the console. I then rebooted the system and it will not boot up. It seems that the file system is damaged. I know that I could just rebuilld from the CD and then attempt to remember what I did to get the system working the way I had it but if it is possible to do a recovery procedure I would prefer that. Is there a procedure to repair the file system and recover my customized configuration files from the system? Re parallel port

Steve I believe that fixed it. I rebooted the machine and it unkeyed as soon as the computer started booting up and worked fine after bootup. Thanks for the input from you and jim He tried telling me that several e-mails back but it was not sinking in for some reason. What I could not figure out is why I had to run the F command in Radio-Tune-Menu after bootup to unkey the radio then all would be fine intill the computer was restarted. Anyway all seems to be fine now. Thanks for the help Randy

Parallel Printer Port Question

I have the Parallel Port setup and working fine on my system for Cor and PTT The only issue I have is if the computer shuts down for some reason, Lost of power ect the radio keys up and stays keyed intill I toggle the ptt on and off using the F command in the Radio Tune menu. Is there a work around for this. Randy
