cheap USB fobs

Hello, I've got some of those "blob" USB Fobs from Dealextreme, and a couple days off to mess with them. Someone on the group mentioned that if you edit a file, some of these fobs will work as CM108. Could someone help me find the file(s) and what to put in them so that my system thinks I have CM108s? Thanks 73 Kyle K0KN

Login incorrect

After server boots up, I get groves1 login(my server). Type in callsign and password, I get Login incorrect. What could cause this?What should I get when this problem is solved? Darril

Low audio out

I run nodes 2498 and 27333 details as follows Node: 2498 is off an Alinco DR135MKIII and the radio is in 9600 Baud so audio is from discriminator and modulator. What are people doing if the site doesn't have internet?

Hi Everyone, I'm seriously considering running my Asterisk node at the repeater attached to a Micor directly, instead of homebrewing a controller and using an RF link to/from my house 10 miles away (not line of site). Given that its a commercial site that does not have internet, what are some options that users on this list are doing? It's a self-funded system with less than 10 users and won't have a lot of IP traffic. There are cell providers nearby and old telco circuits in the room. 1) Buying a DSL business line. 2) Some sort of wireless broadband connectivity. 3) Stick with the RF link back to my house and use our DSL line here. How much bandwidth should I buy per month for just AllStar? I don't have anything setup yet (server class machine) but am becoming more convinced that the full feature set of Asterisk/AllStar is what I need (MDC1200 control, scheduler, courtesy tones, ID, etc). Otherwise I want to keep the Micor mainly stock but add remote control. I've been playing around with my node at home for a while now, and don't want a typical "ham" controller. I love the idea of MDC1200 control over DTMF. Any suggestions are welcomed. Tony

After seeing much enthusiasm regarding getting access to GPIO pins on the URI/USB devices, I gave some thought to what would be the best and most efficient way to implement it, and came up with the following: http://app-rpt.qrvc.com/node/177 "Manipulating GPIO signals within chan_usbradio and chan_simpleusb" see also: http://app-rpt.qrvc.com/node/176 "Event Management Subsystem" The bad news is that I discovered (after much head pounding) that on the CM108AH chips, they removed GPIO 2, making only 2 GPIO pins available. That is not a positive thing, as far as I am concerned. Oh well, I guess 2 is better then 0. JIM WB6NIL

How fast a pc needed for hub node?
