This is a long shot bit here goes. All year ago I came across a website that had some allstar script stuff. I emailed the guy and we conversed. He gave me a website he made it text message weather alerts. I had to create a account and set my alerts, I set a friend up who claims he is no longer getting messages and I want to go back to the website but now I can't remember the website. I'm hoping the creator is a subscriber here. updating nodelist for a small group of ham repeater

Hi! we are a small group of ham and club in the Quebec province that want to do our own lottle network of app_rpt repeater I have taken a good look at how allstarlink manage registration and I did figured out that there must be a script running on an asterisk server named register.allstartlink.org , that script either connect to the actual asterisk cli and parse / save the output of the iax2 show registry command.. or get the info on a sql server connected to the asterisk server. so that is how the allstalink system create the rpt_extnodes-temp that is fetch by the rc.updatenodelist tat is used by app_rpt to know where are all the nodes.. well that is how I think this done.. If I am wrong please advise me.. So how would one little group of club would go to creat something like that? I am pretty sure we would need to create a central server on a fix ip adress or domain name. that can be done.. then on that server we would need to create iax2 trunk for all the nodes. those trunk would have all different node number and passwords.. (maybe in iax.conf ??) then I am lost Anyone been there? I dont want to create a competing network to allstarlink, I want to create a small automated private nets of repeater.. Not that I dont like allstarlink, it is just that some of the sysop here love the technology behind app_rpt/asterisk. they just dont want to be on the big network, and updatng ip adress when they chage is a real pain. thanks for your time reading this. Two nodes one server

Currently have one node on the air. I'm working on a second node on the same server. I know I need to have the second node specified for another port. TX CTCSS Tone

Hi all, is it possible to send an CTCSS tone like 88,5 only if there is a person speaking ? Which parameter i must set in the usbradio.conf ? I would like to mute the Signal tones and roger beeps with this option but only for user they would like that and not for all TNX and have a nice here in europe hot weekend tom dh6mbt

Removing the connection message

I have no solution based on what info you provided. How did you set the audio level to your repeater? Did you had only one iphone user or many? some Iphone have the mic level to the max and there audio is really bad.. same for android. usbradio VOX

Hi All extract from the golden book in usbradio.conf carrierfrom=dsp ; Carrier Detect Source ; Options - no,usb,usbinvert,dsp,vox ; no - no carrier detection at all ; usb - via USB radio adapter COR connection ; usbinvert - same as above but inverted polarity. ; dsp - from RX noise using dsp methods ; vox - voice activated via RX audio Question I cannot seem to solve Does the VOX function work. I have been trying it out but the VOX action does not seem to function Its likely I have not configured this correct im sure someone will be kind enough to enlighten me? Barry G8SAU
