I have a modified 888 radio and run through a modified fob to my AllStar node. The problem is when sending a DTMF command the computer never receives it and displays a 6~. On screen. Tried everything under usb simple to get it to work but nothing works. Someone said to use us radio. Conf but I don’t know how to force the AllStar software to run that file. It picks us simple.conf instead. Any help would be appreciated. Keep in mind I know nothing about AllStar software I am just learning. David Waters

In order to do this can the code come from digium or do I have to pull it from the all-star GitHub? Is there a way to pull a complete module install with out the full install image which will erase the entire drive? Ultimately I hope to run mmdvm on the same computer so future upgrades and replacing damaged modules this way would be handy. I've been around Linux some but I'm still learning and have a way to go. Also this is a full fledged computer and not a pi install. Ive had my DIAL node up and running which Ive been tweaking and experimenting with and have had lots of success. I installed webmin to make things easier for myself. I was going to be installing Allmon2 and went to check my Apache and php versions and realized there were some updates as well as 85 other package updates identified. I selected the two I wanted and when I went to start the update I hit update all which caused all 85 to update and break all-star. My config files are still accessable but everything else appears shot for allstar. Is there a way I can reinstall or repair it without doing a complete disk wipe? Portal Config

Hello to all! I have been trying to get an allstar node setup for a friend of mine who is not all that command line savvy. He was rather excited when it seemed he could use the web portal to configure his server if he needed to. I have the server and node setup just fine, but when ever I try to use the Web Portal to make configuration changes and then click on "Download Configuration" the changes never seen to be made on the server itself until I manually run nodesetup again. Is there something simple I am missing to get the web portal to be able to configure the server automatically? I used the RAT_RC1.img file to install the system. (downloaded from allstarlink.org) I changed the root user password, but there was no other "setup scripts" than ran, I was only prompted to change passwords. I finally found and ran nodesetup on my own. I have tried to use the portalconfig.sh script also, to no avail. Ports 4569 and 5198-5199 are forwarded to the system. Any help or ideas is appreciated! 73 eric/kg6wxc

Boot DIAL on USB Flash Stick?

Since I've read it is possible to reconfigure a Pi to boot from a USB Flash stick rather than SD card, I've been attempting the configuration (per all the blogs, posts, readme, etc.) and one thing that is not 'taking' on either of two Pi3b is the Pi OTP change to: vcgencmd otp_dump | grep 17: 17:3020000aThe return value remains at 1020000a. Has anyone gotten this to work under a DIAL build? (Using RAT_RC1)

K2ETS Audio Clicks

The K2ETS repeater(s) [ 2M-27274 & 220-27273 ] are running on a Pi-2 under Debian as a dual node system. I'm using a Class10 SD card. We've had an audio issue for more than a year now, and I'm unable to track down the cause. [ sample attached ] After a re-boot, the audio is perfect. Over the course of a month or so, small audio interruptions begin to appear, becoming actual ' clicks '. It appears that the processor is becoming overloaded, and the DSP is affected. Members have named it our ' Galloping Ghost '. Sometimes, just clearing the log file and re-starting asterisk fixes it, but usually a re-boot is required. I'm stumped. I plan on re-installing Debian, and going to a Raspberry Pi-3 in the spring. Len, WB2HKK

DIAL Install from git fails

Hi: I've built a fresh Debian amd64 OS, ver 9.3.0. I'm attempting to build an Allstar system using https://github.com/AllStarLink/DIAL and the install script as documented in the README.md file. My installation is dying during the dependency check for menuselect.makeopts. The error complains about app_dahdiras not being included but other modules being dependent upon it.
